1987 South West, with letter of authenticity. 19.0 oz, two shafts, 13mm and 12.75mm (nominal). Given the vintage, obviously this is a Franklin cue. Butt and shafts are perfectly straight.
Very rare South West featuring birdseye maple handle and front, with 6 staggered tulipwood points and Hoppe style tulipwood buttplate. The cue is simple, yet strikingly beautiful. Both the tulipwood and maple have gorgeous definition.
I have owned this cue since 1990. It is the sweetest hitting cue I've ever touched. Its playability is unparalleled. Every pro player I've let hit it immediately asked me if I'd sell it. I always smiled and said, no. Now, I simply need the money, and I must part with it.
