Many people do not realize that Pete Tascarella purchased George Balabushkas shop in 1976 and started making cues shortly thereafter. When he initially started, he was using all the materials he purchased within the shop.
Before he had Nick Canon made forearms, he used some forearms he had gotten with the shop. I asked him today, what he remembered. He said there was a box and a receipt out of a company in Chicago. The name of the company he could not remember. He purged the "boxes" and some receipts shortly after aquiring the shop. So some information is lost to time. This cue has one of those forearms, and quite possibly this could be a lost "Meucci" made forearm as eluded to by Hightower in a previous thread. Pete said he thought all the forearms were present (6 or 12) and possibly because they were very short and George probably would not have used them for this reason. But Pete did use them for his own cues. This is the 4th or 5th different cue we have had or seen with this shorter forearm.
This cue has a very Balabushka like backend with all black acrylic, two gold acrylic rings with a blue acrylic ring in center with 8 MOP dots, As the letter states its built with all Balabushka parts. Cue has just been restored to pristine condition by Pete.
