Vintage Viking ID/Sale?

The pix below are of what I believe was either the top of the line Viking or 2nd from the top back in the early 80's. I was wondering if someone could ID and help value it for me, and I might consider selling it but have no idea what to ask for it.

It's changed hands a few times over the years but ended up back with me. I remember when it was purchased by the original owner back in the pool room we used to play at. It went from him to me, back to him, somone else, and finally my dad who passed away, so it does have some sentimental value to me.

Some of the veneers in the forearm have started to lift out as have the inlays at the joint collars. The cue rolls straight apart but together there is a slight wobble at the joint but I think it's due to the inlays. It's got a great feeling old white with green speck linen wrap and weighs about 19 oz I would guess. You can just barely see the faded Viking logo in the butt cap.

I pulled it out of the case a few months back and proceeded to run 48 balls with it so I'd say it hits pretty fine yet. With a refinish, or even as is, it would make someone a nice player or I thought maybe there was a Viking collector that might want it.

Nice old Vik!

Not many old pre CNC Vikings of this calibre out there. Am I wrong or are those spliced points? Beautiful cue! This may be a manufactured cue, but it was made by the hands of a skilled craftsman. If that's not custom I don't know what is.
A couple of years ago this cue would have sold for $400-$600 on flea-bay.
Unfortunatly in todays market I have to agree that $300-$400 would be very fair.
I comitted to buy a que yesterday. If that falls through i'll PM'ing you an offer tomarrow.
