For sale is a custom built violin-style cue case, similar to the one used in Pool Hall Junkies by Rick Schroder's character.

The case is built from 3/8" bendable plywood, laminated with illustration board on the outside then finished with a rubberized undercoating to simulate the texture of a real 1930's violin case. The broad sides are also built using 1/4" birch plywood, finished with the same process. NOTE: The case was an experimental project in the use of bendable plywood; therefore, there are a few minor finish flaws in the case. These are apparent in the photos below. The most noticeable is on the smallest radius at the "front" of the case, the illustration board has buckled under the tight radius. See photos.

The case holds 3 butts, 3 shafts and has a designated stub for a moose-head style bridge to 'snap' into place. The cue components are held in place using 7/8" interior diameter grommits for the shafts with compression slots for the front end of the shafts built using foam pipe insulation covered in headliner material, and 1" interior diameter grommits for the bumper of the butt of the cue and compression slots built the same as described for the shafts.

The interior of the case is shot with a light blue velvet flocking to help in concealing chalk residue from staining the inside of the case. The plate that allows for the bridge-head stub is also removable. It is flocked under the plate so nothing will give away that you are not using the bridge head stub. See below for all of the pretty pictures.

Cues are not included in this for sale post. Case and bridge head is all that is included in this post. Price is $425 shipped to the CONUS, or best offer. Email adamapfeifer(at)gmail(dot)com with any questions.
