Visiting Seattle & Vancouver for 10 days

GF and I are headed to Seattle tomorrow (from NC) for a few days, and then off to Vancouver for a few more days.

Anyone have suggestions for a Sunday/Monday tournament somewhere in Seattle?

And maybe a Thursday/Friday tournament in Vancouver? We're staying "at the casino" in Vancouver (wherever that is, GF has arranged everything), if the location matters.

Thanks, and feel free to PM me if you're in the area and wanted to meet up ($$). I haven't posted here on AZB in quite awhile, but I'm still alive.

Also, any suggestions for tourist-y stuff to do in either city would be appreciated.

For tourist attractions there is the aquarium, the space needle, the gum wall, take a stroll in pioneer square visiting the bars and the stadiums, and there is the famous Pikes market(where they throw the fish). As for tournements, in seattle Im not aware of any except possibly at the Golden Fleece but otherwise if youre able to take a drive to Tacome(20 mins) there is Malarkys and they always have 9ball going on.

If I am not mistaken the Malarky's tournament is 8-ball on Sunday nights. Could be wrong? There is always action though. They have 9-ball on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Malarkey's in Tacoma (worth the drive).

Golden Fleece is a good players room as well,it is just outside of Seattle.

If you are coming from Sea-Tac airport Malarkey's is actually closer the GF.

I don't believe there is a players room in Seattle proper.Malarkey's has a 9B tourney on 9ft tables Wed and Fri nights as well as an 8B on BB Sundays at 1-2 pm.

Forgot seeing underground Seattle:thumbup:

Spegetti feed and benefit tournament for Roger Pettit , old time cue maker , at Good Time Ernies , Saterday . Looking at the above , My spelling is getting worse , didn't think that possible . probably fit rite in with the texters , they don't try to spell right .

Is it the River Rock casino in Richmond? if so there are a couple places near there with 9fts and snooker tables

What to see in Vancouver
Stanley Park Walk/cycle the seawall
Gastown
Aquarium
Robson Street
Grouse Mountain Skyride
Drive the Sea-to-Sky to Whistler 2hrs
Slashers Snooker room and Workshop

Hey guys, thanks SOOO much for the replies. It's nice to know there's a community of hustlers that we random folks can count on.

That said, Tacoma sounds like the place to be. It looks like we've got GF-family plans Sunday evening (real reason for visiting the area -- so no tourney after all), but can probably catch someone for some action Monday or Tuesday. If you're up for it, PM me and let me know. We'll have wheels and can travel anywhere that's safe.

edit: I enjoy correct grammar and sentiment.

Thanks! Tell me more about "Slashers Snooker room and Workshop". I have a feeling you're intimately familiar with it...

And we are staying at River Rock when we do hit Vancouver.

Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do

OH OH OH! For you Seattle folks... where the *BEST* place in Seattle to checkout the local music scene? I think we'd be doing ourselves a disservice by not checking it out.

Thanks again!

Any idea what time this starts? Website address? Phone number?

Thanks!

Also, Portland is about 20-40 mins from Vancuver, you can find some good action there as well.
