Joey, I just recently started posting on here again.. Not a newbie, but not exactly a local either. (Been gone for awhile)

You just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :D

I also do not log in unless I am posting. I have gone a couple of months without answering private messages. But of course I'm old & getting senile, so I have an excuse.

I must have set my settings so that I am automatically logged in, anytime I visit the forum. It has been so long ago that I don't remember where those settings are. Your post made me laugh when I realized that I had forgotten how to set that up. LOL

I got burned by another member and that put a somewhat sour taste in my mouth..

Then I sold a cue to someone else, and after they had it for a week they called me up claiming harline cracks in an irvorene ferrule.. Being that I played with that cue all of 6 times I was kinda thinking WTF? Person asked for some $$, so I told them to take it to a repair shop and have it inspected and fixed and I'd pay directly to the repair shop. Never heard from them again.. Which put sour taste in my mouth # 2.

There was some other stuff as well, but after that I just decided that maybe I would take a break from posting..

I take posting in streaks. I think that alot of people post garbage on here just to "hear" theirselves "talk." No offense to anyone. I am not the quiet type...but then again...i dont feel like I need to post a bunch of useless posts either just to get my post number up or to get rep points. So, I guess I am more of a lurker than a poster....but I digress. Thanks for the words JoeyA. It really is a true sentiment from most users on the board. Keep up the good work AZ.

ADDICTED lurker & rare poster

Your posts have to be of value to the other members to "earn" rep points.

REP points have the most value and appreciation when they are given unsolicited. Do like the financial institution, "EARN THEM". Make more posts-interact.

I also make a practice of not sending thank you notes for REP points as I believe sending notes of appreciation can sometimes be interpreted as a deliberate effort to gain additional favor. I want someone to send me rep only because they think I have made a contribution that they value, not because I pat them on the back.

Like most people, I appreciate the kind words and I believe those kind words help to keep me in line, doing the right thing.

In spite of your solicitation, I'll make an exception to send you some green because I think you are genuine with your love of the game and appreciation for the forum members. :)

Hi,
My screen name is JoeyA. It's not too hard to guess that the A stands for my last name and that isn't too hard to find out what it is.[...]

Ya know Joey, if you would just recant that stupid idea about deep-paying calcutta's, you might be my favorite poster here...
