As Bill and Ted would say, it has been a most excellent month for pool in Betmore's Basement. Several AZB visitors have dropped by; JCIN (already described elsewhere), elvicash, and mthornto.
Several weeks ago I was favored with a visit from elvicash. We played a bunch of straight pool (I'm trying hard to convert all AZB'ers), and I was tremendously entertained with some of his stories of his "road days." How cool.
Last weekend, mthornto dropped by from Ohio for 10 or 11 hours of straight pool and 9-ball. Its something we've wanted to do for some time; and I was really glad his wife finally got sick of having him around - we had a blast. We even started the arrangements for an Indianapolis-Columbus Straight Pool League Challenge Match (see 14.1 forum for details).
As with EVERY other visit I've had from AZB'ers, these guys are true students and fans of the game. This is truly a very special forum. What are the rest of you guys waiting for??? A pilgrimage to Betmore's Basement is almost a mandatory part of becoming a real player. I can't wait until the AZB gettogether April 4th when Grady passes through (at least 5 of us will be there).
