Action vs Pool Dawg vs Valley vs Dufferin vs whoever else.

#1 You walk into a bar, you pick one up, which one do you like best?

#2 You own a bar, you bought different brands, which ones held up?

McDermott and Viking are in the game now, and so are some Chinese companies. Just curious who offers a good product right now, as I’m looking for about a dozen altogether. (I’d take an OLD Dufferin or Valley any day, or the old Actions).

All barcues are Chinese now. Dufferin are still the best. Players/Action are ok too. All probably made in same shop. AFAIK no housecues are US made anymore. In a bar i'm using straightest with decent tip.

I figured you’d be pushing the Rhino one piece cues! :)

Don't see those really taking off. I like a 19oz Dufferin with the shaft re-tapered a little. Play as good as hi dollar custom.
I honestly feel the same about the older Dufferins and sometimes Valley Wallabushkas.

New Chinese Dufferins are made every bit as well if not better than the old Canadian ones. Made in same factoy as Predator, Lucasi, and many other brands.

I‘d be willing to bet you are right about that one. I’m almost ready to order some house cues for a small room we are opening, and I don’t want garbage hanging on the wall. Pool Dawg has house cue sets that look identical to a pricier brand mentioned here. I’ve wondered if it was due to Chinese manufacture. That said, the Dufferins are now chinese? If Dufferin is doing it, it can’t be that bad.
