Want a chance to play Johnny Archer?

I know JA is'nt going to forget his fans back home here ... I hope when he tours the South he makes a trip down here to South Georgia ... If not I will have to get up to North Georgia and see him ... Hopefully Breaktime Billiards in Albany will book him or somewhere in Valdosta ... He has a big following down here in South Georgia ...I live in Fitzgerald a small town and whenever we go to the old poolroom I always hear about the time Gerald Robinson brought in JA to play one of our better players in town named Hiram ... Seemed they had a feud going and Gerald slid a 16 year old Archer down here to play Hiram... From the way they talk it was a good match but JA wore him down in the end ... They still have the table they played on in that place ... An Old Gandy I beleive ....

It is a really nice place...I wished there were some diamond pro tables nearby though..:( Earl was there a few months ago and put on an exhibition... It seemed he enjoyed himself...

Shannon Daulton just told me a small story of him,archer, and Tony Ellin playing some guys for 600 a hole....It was really really funny....You should ask him about it....:D

Of course I remember you. Hows it going? Just so you know they way you put that in your post suggests that I know you much better than I do. So to make it clear I have never had nor never will have a blumpkin especially with Phillip.
Anyway, hows things In S.A? You still playing at Fast Eddies? Do me a favor and say hi to everyone fo me and I hope to you you guys in about 6 months.

I'll be playing in the mini, I dislocated my shoulder yesterday working on my car and getting the snow tires on it. Hopefully I will be healed and feeling good by then. Now I have to take 2 vicodin just to be able to move it good. Went to the pool hall tonight and it didn't help my stroke. Hurts break hard, might have to soft break all weekend. Hope to see you all there!

Wanna buy a raffle ticket to try win a pool school session w Archer? only if your healed but you could probably still pick up alot from being shown by him. Hope you feel better

HAHA, I know just my luck. Been gearing up with alot of practice the last 3 weeks for the mini and now I do this. Went a good 4 months since I dislocated last and haven't had any problems.

I would like to, but at this point it looks like I'll be working out of town, Thursday and Friday. I am going to have to trek back Thursday night to hopefully see the Johnny vs, Richie show. I'm sure Kirkwood will show up, but I think he's in New York right now. I workin up in Midland doing construction. I am going to talk with my business partner if he can control the reins for a couple of days.:grin:

How long are the sessions? Personally I thought $200 is a little steep for a class activity, but he charges what he charges which is fine, he has to make money too. How many in a class?

At this point I am just hoping my shoulder will feel better and good enough for Friday. It had to be my shooting arm too, :( .

Its 4 hours minimum and 12 max in a class. To be honest I gain nothing from pushing his class but have heard he does a tremendous job with the groups and they learn more than they ever have so, Im sure that wouldnt be said if it wasnt worth the fee.

its really only 50 per hour and if he goes over the time limit its less and for that you get a world champion and hos time and knowledge..........pretty good price to be honest and I swear I earn nothing from saying this or from his classes.............ive heard great things or wouldnt have invited him to come.
Kirkwood wont be back til Friday for the mini he thinks, he didnt think he would be back by thursday but we shall see
