just something to consider, two buddies of mine had this particular jump/break cue and they both shattered at the joints. It was impressive.

upon inspection it seems like a mighty small (and short) pin they use on these, especially considering the intended use as a breaker.

Lot of energy on a very undersized pin. imo

Not sure you have the right cue. The 2.9 had a Uni-loc Radial pin. Fairly decent. Newer models went to the Uni-Loc Bullet. That's just wrong for this cue. Think theres may have been the newer ones.

cuetipper, you may be right.

the 2 that I saw explode were maybe 2-3 years ago and were owned maybe a year or so.

if it were me, I would just make sure the one I get has a reasonably sized pin. Theirs were unusually small compared to any other break cues I ever saw.
