wanted: cnc lathe or mill

im currently loking at prices for a cnc mill or lathe....can anyone point me in the right direction as to where i can find one>>???...prices and location would be great...Canada or the US....what would be the correct route for me to start biulding cues...manuel or cnc machines???...is there a preference for anyone at all???...what would be better...a 4 axis cnc mill or a cnc lathe...to get inlays in there....or both???....what size???...i would turn wood down with a wood lathe first maybe...any suggestions???

I build mills and lathes, and all related machinery for cue making....
I'm well known for my quality machinery.
I have 4 axis mills, CNC saw/lathes, and teach cue making, I also have a combantion CNC mill and Lathe all in one machine.

i would get the video from cue components by joe barrenger,he has an intro to cue building that is very helpfull,might answer alot of your questions,I my self have bought them,and learned alot,well worth the money.As far as cnc,I my self have a cue monster by unique and very happy.

i have a 4 axis cnc set up ready to use programs computer all kinds of extras im in southern michigan you can come to my shop see and learn the machine my price for everything is only 7000.00 computer and software is over 2000.00 i have programs for 9 complete cues ready to cut plus asssorted other designs , it take months to write these programs even if you aare well versed in cnc plus after the sale i can write your programs for a small fee allowing you to make cues and not waste your time programing if interested email me or call me dirict ...Lee

hi guys....just wondering if anyone ever tried one of those combo lathe and mill on sale for a couple grand ..theyre mainly for metal working shops but with a bit of work they might do the trick for making cues...would they be able to convert to cnc????....has anyone ever fiddled around and tried to make a metal butt??? with inlays...im trying it out at work here just because i cant use wood on the machines here...later

Just saw a milling machine with duplicator, 3 phase, old tubes, 8 ft tall, $750.

Means its an old machine - not something I would want to buy because fixin it might be impossible --- picture looked good, conversation was good, until the btw........
