What is so great about the ultra-joint? (other than it looks real cool). I'm serious, as I have a Lambros with the ultra-joint and since I've never hit with any other Lambros, I don't know what it adds. The cue hits great, but I've always heard that about Lambros cues. (Mine's not currently for sale)

Scott, the THEORY is that the larger surface area creates a more stable joint, and is more like a one piece cue. The conical taper of the joint is also supposed to make for a tighter connection between the two pieces. Don't know if it is true or not, but everyone I know who has one loves the hit. I have only played limited amounts with a couple of Lambros cues, and they had a very good, solid yet responsive hit, to me.

Thanks Joe!

Yes, your explanation makes sense, as it's a tight fit and hits very, very sweet. If a deal I am working goes through, my Lambros will be hitting the auction blocks tonight (perhaps AZ, but I'm not strongly inclined). I took it out last night to play a few 'goodbye' games.

I sent you an email with pics and the price. I got it for a steal compared to what the previous owner paid. I am asking $1,650 and anything I get over my investment will be returned to the previous owner (a friend).

The story - when I heard my friend was selling it, I met him at the pool hall and once I had seen it and played with it, I logged onto his computer and sent payment - the cue was that nice. I'm selling only because I had a rare opportunity recently to purchase a very fancy cue made by my cuemaker, so I took advantage of it.

Please let me know quickly on this, as I will need to put it up for sale later tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. Thanks.
