Anyone have a Kenneth Murrell they're looking to get rid of? I'm also looking for a stinger. I don't have gee money to spend so a nice plain jane murrell cue in good condition is fine by me. I bought my current cheesy break cue from the super billiards expo last year and am suffering the same song: "you get what you pay for". Therefore anyone with a good deal for a stinger would be appreciated. Thx everyone!

If I were you I'd pass on the Stinger and by an X-Breaker.

Some Here, and I think Mathew Staton and deadstroke32 each had one listed recently. Throw an murrell search at it and see. No time for me to do it for you, sorry. *out*

Thanks for the input but I've tried the stinger and think its unreal with balance, and the hit that I get out of it. I'll be happy with that. I've never tried the x-breaker and honestly haven't seen anyone using it. I try to stick to what I know...thx for the input though.

Murrell cue

Just got back from meeting with John (wolfbite.com) and checking out some new Murrell cues. If you're looking for plane jane he's got 3 new ones. A really nice Pau wood with linen wrap -$475, Cocobolo with a linen wrap -$475, and a Birdseye maple, linen wrap, with a fancy ring @ E.,.. I believe that one was $525. All 3 cues are around 19.5oz.

Anyway, you can email him directly if you're interested.

big.john.rea@wolfbite.com

Oh yeah, he also has a couple SS jointed traditional cues from Kenny. Including a really sweet Szamboti style tribute cue!

I hope you will find the perfect break cue for you.

Jennifer Chen (Amway Cup Champion)

I appreciate the info. but I gotta be honest. If Jesus himself played with a break cue, I wouldn't be interested until I tried it out myself. Not to be a wise ass, but I've seen plenty of expensive equipment out there over the years. Most of them highly recommended and very reputable. I try it out and its not what I like. That's why ppl should always try hitting with as many different cues as they can, so that they know what feels best and most comfortable for them. You can have 2 $1500 cues with 2 very well-known cue makers. But they can also feel completely opposite. Thx again for your input.

Yes, you are right. You need to judge for yourself what is best for you.
I just want to let you know who are playing with the X Breaker since you mentioned you did not see anyone using it.
Stinger is not a bad cue, and Tom Simpson is very professional with marketing and also very knowledgable in the game of pool.
I will be in Valley Forge and the BCA.
Thank you.

Ok great, I'll be there too, what flloor is your booth going to be on? Will you have a table for ppl to test break? I mean really break with it though, not like what the guys did last year for one of the other break cues, where they pretty much badgered the person to making a slow break to make a point. I'd rather be able to whale away like an avg 9ball game at home. That way I can see if I'm comfortable hitting normal, or at least what I'm gonna use it for.

I will be on the lower floor.
Yes we will have a Diamond table at our booth, and you are encouraged to break as hard as you possible can. Most players reported that they could keep the cue ball on the table even when they broke with full power, while with other break cues with a phenolic tip, their cue ball would usually fly off.
You can also try the jump and see how much better our tip can hold chalk.
Looking forward to seeing you there.:)
Thank you for your interest.

Will this be a bar table or a 9 ft? I usually have to cut my break speed by almost half on a barbox because when I break like I do on a 9 ft table, the cue always flies off the table. Either way, I'm going to come down & try it. I might not have any game left but I can still break pretty darn good!:p If you're going to have a barbox, that'll be a true test of keeping the cue on the table for me.

I will have a bar box, the same as what we had in the US Open where Larry Nevel tried out the X Breaker and made his 1mm jump.
It would be great to see you. Thank you.:) :)
