Warp in cue, how much will it affect my game?

Unfortunately, I agree. I collected old Meucci cues for years, and still have a few. They were fantastic cues. I will include some pics of my old Meucci Original that I have personally had since 1977. I had it refurbished by Meucci several years ago and put it away. Only bad thing is that it had the round rubber bumper when I sent it to them and they sent it back with the newer style. This cue plays great and is straight, but it is less than 58" long. I have also been a dealer for Meucci. I had so many problems with cues that it is ridiculous....a true shame from one of pool cuemaking's icons.

When i got my meucci from Cornhusker Billiards it
was like getting a custom cue. He made it after I
ordered it & it took about 3 & one half months to
get it. Great cue.

I think one of the most important things in anybodys game is confidence, confidence in your ability and confidence in your equipement. So in my opinion a warped shaft would negatively effect a persons game simply because they don't have the confidence in thier playing equipment, always worried about how the cue will react to a certian shot, wondering if thier aim is off because of the warp.

Just my first thoughts, brand name aside.

I had a similar situation with my Adams cue. I have owned it since 1985 and it was used when i got it. I went to local cue maker Wayne Ball and he made me a new shaft for $100 and put a new tip on the old one to have as back-up. He did a great job matching up the rings.:)

how much can I expect to fork over for a decent shaft? also, can I have my brand new Moori tip transferred over to the new shaft, or should I just consider it a loss?

Thanks for the helpful replies!

Moori tips are $10 on eBay and several other online retailers.

if you look like this, you needn't worry
