warp issue, yet rolls straight apart.

I have an almost new custom that has about 1/32" lift in the shaft when rolled together, yet the shaft and butt roll dead straight apart. Can I please have some input on what would cause this? the cue has never been left in temperature extremes, and other than a couple of minor falls, it hasn't been abused at all. The cue was made for me and the cuemaker is going to check it out...I would just like some opinions.

The shaft might need to be re-faced ( or the butt ).
Or the pin is off-center or crooked.
Get it looked at by a qualified repair person or cue-maker.
Sending it back to the original maker is best.

I am far from being a cue maker, but, have been through this experience before. Cost myself 50.00 to find out the cue was rolling on the leather wrap and that was the only issue. Cue was perfect in a lathe.

It also could be something in the joint. The faceings may not be 90 degrees to each other or something is getting in there when screwed together like dirt.

Thanks guys....the pin appears to be dead straight when rolled as well...I'm suspecting the facing. The maker is local and will be going to see him Monday. It's a radial pin joint with phenolic rings if that helps any.
