Warped butt

I am considering buying a cue but the butt was warped, the dealer sent it back for replacement, the cuemaker said they could not replace it, but they would fix it. My questions are can it be fixed, will it warp again, would you stay away from a cue like this even though you like the model, or would you go ahead and buy it, because they fixed it. If I buy it should I ask for a reduced price, or should it be the same price because it has be fixed and is "as good as new". I will not mention any names or models here. Thanks in advance for your info.

All answers are based on a Custom butt which is built in sections, NOT one piece butts. And not cues built in two days without seasoned wood.
Yes it can usually be repaired as good as new,
It might have been just a bad handle, (It happens)
A cue maker who stands behind his work should be supported and deserves to get paid.

Thats why I added the last part to my message, if it is as good as new and they stand behind it, I wouldn't expect them to give it away.
