Hi Guys,

I picked this RT Custom cue up from an fellow AZbilliard member here and pay $100 cash plus $180 worth of Moori/Molavia tips. I thought this would be a player's cue but it turned out to be warped and unplayable to me. This cue would served well as a breaker and should be converted to a breaker if you shorten the shaft down and add a phenolic ferrule.

The cue shaft is unusable, warped at about 4 inch from top, the butt is also warped and when it rolled on a pool table it wobble noticably. RT Custom cues from Florida made this cue and I believe it used to sell for about $550. RT was a popular cue was I was in Florida for a while but I never got a chance to play with their cues. I decided to pick this one out to check out how it would play and to examine their unique splice construction. The construction of the forearm are spliced with 4 pieces of purple heart and bocote or some exotic wood. Please note, you can probably tell from the pics that all the rings are raised in the butt sleeve. There is also a signature "R.T. 97" in the forearm.

The cue has a radial pin and it measure .8234 at the joint, the butt weigh in at about 15.8 oz and the shaft is 3.8oz. The tip size on the shaft is 12.50mm. We got this cue with the purpose of examing the construction of RT cue and was thinking of replacing the handle but my guys in the shop decided that it's not worth the effort.

Anyway, I looking to get about $190 shipped for this cue... first person to paypal me at dlam0718@gmail.com owns it!! Check previous AZ post, it was f/s for $250. But please note, this cue is warped and IMO not playable..it could be a breaker if the shaft is replace or shorten with a phenolic ferrule. Even though the cue is unplayable, it has a really good hit!! Please ask questions, as this cue is sold as is!!!!

Here are some images of the cue.

seems strange that you now are trying to sell a warped cue for for a lot more ($160) than you gave for it ($100).

must think all az'ers are dumb ??????.....

Actually he says he gave $100 cash and $180 in Moori/Molavia tips. So total value $280.

Although even at the price he wants, I don't get who would want to spend it on a warped cue. But who knows.

I Was Going To Stay Away From This Thread.............the Cuedoes Evidently Have A Roll To It, But I Can Tell Everybody That This Cue Plays Very Well. My Girl Used It As Her Playing Cue For About 6 Months And I Shot With It Many Times During That Period, And Played Well With It Every Time, Even Won A Few Bucks With It A Couple Of Times.

I would check it, but I think it was edited. Anyway, I am not going to buy it but thanks for the full and honest disclosure.

I DID EDIT THE ORIGINAL......ALL I DID WAS DELETE THE PICTURES. I DO THAT SO IF THE BUYER GOES TO RESELL ANY OF MY CUES, THE FUTURE BUYERS DON'T KNOW WHAT I SOLD IT FOR. I DID NOT EDIT ANY OF THE DESCRIPTION, IN ANY WAY.

Hi Marcus,

My bad... I shouldn't have posted any reference to your name on this thread. I had a few people asking me if thos cue was the same one you had posted earlier so I thought I should answer the question on the post. Anyway, my guys doesn't have the time to work on this cue so I decided to let it go now that we got all the information that we needed from the cue.

I guess I'm just more picky about my cue than most people. When I test my cues, if it has any slight roll on the shaft or butt...it not straight to me. If the cue has a roll that is noticable..than it warped IMO.

Duc.

Actually, My ex-girl tracked down Rick or Tom, Im not sure, the one that still builds cues. Anyway, he was a cool guy and I would think from her past dealings with him, he would fix this cue.
