Ok so I'm a C-player at best and mainly a "lurker" here but it looks like there may be hope for my 2year old. http://youtube.com/watch?v=B27pgK3rFC0

by the way the equipment is regulation size table for 2 year olds with really tight pockets couple millimeters larger than the ball on the corners and the cloth...no idea.:p

If you are a C-player my guess is your 2 yr old will be beating you in about 3 years, he looks like a natural, he probably played a lot of pool in his last life.

Nathan is adorable! And he never misses. He has a promising future with the greats. A future Hall of Famer for sure!

I don't think even the Magician Efren can make balls dissappear any better than this tiny shark, do him a favor and order him a new Southwest cue now and about the time he's big enough to hold a full size cue it will be ready and he will have the cue with the (HIT). And if he don't want to play he can still make a profit.--Leonard

And how bout that draw stroke on the second or third shot!!!!

haha, that was so good, has a more sold closed bridge than 98% of the local kids at the pool hall

Thanks for the comments....I taught him everything I know, especially the part of both cue ball and object ball in hand. The closed fist bridge is mine too:). He stands on a stool and likes to roll the balls the length of my 9ft table from one pocket to the other. He also used to insist I hold him and shoot one handed when he wasn't old enough to stand on the stool himself and see. His favorite web site is propoolvideo.com. I can't wait to get him a kid size stick and let him shoot on the real table.

But he appears to have not yet mastered Set-Pause-Finish...maybe he'll be needing a new coach soon too (or another week).

Seriously, I loved the way he slides his bridge hand up and down the cue while it's up in the air, just like the pros do. I don't know what this accomplishes, so it might be something we can learn from him!

Honestly, even if the ball wasn't going in the pockets, that's amazing coordination for a 2-year-old. I think he's going to be a natural at any sport he tries.

And here I thought I was the only person around who did that. That kid's gonna be a champ.

Wow, that kid is good! The look on his face was like, "Um Dad, I've already mastered this progressive drill, but I'll show you another shot..."

This post made my night..wow you have a great kid and a wonderful looking home..heck that kids gona be a champion..he couldnt scratch when he tried to...we he get 4 tell em ill take the wild 7

Thanks again for all the comments. I've been showing them to my wife to proove that his skill and obsession with pool is a good thing. I guess it would be okay to take him to the pool hall and set up some games since its not like I'm having him skip school or anything.

impressive

Whoa. I'm going to show your video to my girlfriend and ask her why she can't play that well.

Impressive.

I just recently brought my desk-top table home for my 4 year old to play on. He made quite a few shots, right out of the gate... then "pulled an Earl" when he missed the 6, and whacked the plastic cue on the carpet.

Not sure if he's gonna have the natural skill of your boy....but at least my boy can emulate the pros to some degree of accuracy!! :) :)

Cute kid, bro.....and seems to be right at home on the tables......

I agree with Andrew, that kid is going to be good at just about anything he tries. I'd definately keep on him with the pool, and heck maybe even get him some lessons as he gets older..

but I'd be on my way down to get some kids golf clubs like RIGHT NOW..

That way after he signs a 200 million dollar deal with Nike, he can just go buy a pool hall if he feels like playing once a year. ;)

Honestly, hand I coordination like that he will be great at anything he tries.
