Waste of money pool items

Last I checked Kamui is still $30 per cube. If expensive chalk does not help me win I don't see how its not a waste of money. As far as it being cleaner I'm not going to stop cleaning my table because its supposed to be cleaner, I don't seem to have a mess problem with my current chalk.

One of the major advantages of Taom V10 chalk is that it does not come off on the cue ball. This is an advantage because it basically completely eliminates kicks when playing which does actually help you win. If I remember though the Kamui chalk is not like this I think it is even dirtier than Master.

Speaking of Master, if you are going to use basic chalk why not use Triangle? It is a better chalk from the same manufacturer IMO

Yes, that's what I thought it was. I think that is why I don't use joint protectors is that they are hard to keep track of.

I travel quite frequently with my cue, and I worry it will bang all around the inside of my case. Not sure if it's truly something that should be a worry, but there it is in my brain haha

Buy some joint protectors from a custom builder and you won’t lose them. Mine come off and go right into my pocket. They cost as much as a lot of people’s cues. Of course who would want to steal them? The rings only match one cue. The cheaper ones though. I’ve misplaced more than once. That holder is kind of cool Flake.

Very well made for the price I paid. Does what I needed it for. Getting one custom made for fun to stick on my other case, as I will be between two locations for work soon. Little less classy than this one, but would be no mistaking which case was mine haha

Well, like many things, this is all subjective. For me, in the last 35 years I’ve made only a few very small changes to things I utilize. For others, as is well documented on threads in this forum, they buy every new piece of equipment that comes down the pike. I actually find it comical looking at some players “load in” their equipment at the hall to play.

One thing I’ve seen to be a common theme, is that those with the most gadgets, or that always buy the newest thing, is that they tend not to play very well. That they might be better served taking a lesson or two from a top flight instructor than spending $750 on a new dedicated jump cue. At the end of the day it’s their and they can spend it how they like. It’s no skin off my nose if they choose to be over equipped mediocre players. YMMV

It's fun to try the 'latest and greatest', or new item to the market. I see this a lot in the game of golf, where new clubs can cost $$$. Sometimes It's not about getting better, but keeping up with your friends latest equipment.

I purchased a jump cue from Lucasi that I thought would be a waste of money, but has turned out to be something I enjoy. I couldn't jump with it at first because I didn't think the G10 tip required chalk. Add to that my lack of experience with jumping and I was lost thinking this jump cue was a piece of junk. I worked the tip with my poker tool and chalked it up and was 100% successful yesterday. Made two great jumps and potted one of the balls.

Here is the one I have. IQ Cues included one with their branding on it FOC with my cue and then when I decided how much I liked it I went to buy more but he was out of the branded ones and sent these Vampire branded ones. They are really high quality and very useful IMO
