>>WATCH LIVE<< 2016 US Bar Table Championships, Aug 22-28

Now back to our regular scheduled program , keep hearing Berg is a barbox guy I'm told no yet here he is again and Mac also conciderd one and he's again here
Not surprisingly for either on a bar box but highly unlikely on a 9 ft

Bergman made a shrewd financial decision by playing at the USBTC. He is going with his greatest strength. The same can be said for Woodward. But didn't they beat Morris and Archer on the big table last year? Didn't Woodward take it to the hill in the Mosconi against the current World 9ball champion? In the same contest, Bergman took it to the hill with Feijen and beat Appleton. With all the money in pool (or lack thereof), wouldn't you be more apt to enter barbox tournaments if it was your greatest strength? They both can and have finished high in big table events.

Shane McMinn is certainly a barbox specialist, but he is also capable of finishing high on big tables. He got 3rd at the Don Coates Memorial this year, ahead of Van Boening, Deuel, Archer, and many other big names.

The brackets have 430pm and 6pm and so on matches from Saturday still not updated. I'm assuming nothing changed and these matches were played since the men's women's and second chance all have yet to be updated. Does anyone know Saturday's results for the 8ball men's? Mainly I want to know 4th place n whose playing to get to the finals.

Yes the brackets haven't been updated, the matches from YESTERDAY still say TBD, let alone today's matches - and today's streaming matches would be obvious IF WE HAD THE BRACKETS UPDATED. And the replay stream is blank. Great job guys.

Very typical and a month from now people will say they always update immediately but i know they dont-I even heard the boss say it was 'too hard' to do.

I believe it's Klatt vs Thorpe at Noon for 3rd-4th and Shane vs Saez for the hot seat at 1:30. I'll double check when I go downstairs. All four final matches are streamed today.

It's up now - Klatt v. Thorpe up first, then SVB v. Saez for the hot seat. Is Hector Saez = Rob Saez?

But the replay stream is still blank for me.

Thank you!

Very well said Mark.

Even though I am a "nobody" in the pool world, I also find it quite disappointing when others cannot wait to jump online and criticize. If you are going to crap all over a tournament, at least provide viable alternatives or, dare I say it...solutions?

I have run *very* small 32-player monthly tournaments at two different rooms in Maryland for only one year, and it became so frustrating I actually quit the game in September of 2013.

Why?

Because pool players can be that difficult (and some room owners are not far behind). Most are appreciative, but it is always the bad apples that stand out.

I say this because a lot of people like to criticize the major events, and I cannot even imagine what it must take to organize the larger events, successfully, on a regular basis.

There will always be naysayers, and there are people who are only too ready to cut down an event.

Setting up and running pool tournaments is a thankless job. And ironically, as soon as someone decides to stop, everyone wonders why there aren't any more tournaments!

So, come out from behind your keyboard and actually attend and *gasp* participate once in a while...spend some $$$ and help promote and support the game instead of acting as though YOU know what is broken about pool and how to fix it.

I am here at the USBTC. Granted, there will not be as many players right after the BCAPL and APA, but everyone seems to be having fun and there are many world-beaters here to enjoy.

So, before you jump on Mark, and CSI, try doing something positive for the game instead of whining about it.

Go ahead and flame me and see how much I give a sh**.

inside_english: Thank you for such a great post! A post like this is somewhat unusual on this forum but it is much appreciated. Also, thank you for participating in the USBTC.

I'm not sure if you watch live streams but I would like to offer you the next PPV stream that we do free of charge as a small token of appreciation. Thank again for your support!

You still owe me lunch at Bayside Buffet...hahaha.

Thanks for having the event, I had fun playing and watching even though I did not perform well.

Keep up the good work.
