Watching mosconi cup in the USA

The last couple years I’ve watched it live on DAZN.
Paid for a month cancelled no issues.
This year when researching getting it again the cost is up ( no surprise there) but it seems people are having problems canceling. Seems there’s some stipulation that you need to cancel 30 days in advance! Reports of people charged for a full year with no refund policy. Reports of no way to cancel & no customer service. So far I haven’t been able to contact them on these matters as the site I tried just seems to be a closed loop of A/I

for me they charged me an extra monthwhen i cancelled soon after joining
(or prorated the extra month i dont remember)

My recent experience is that the best way to see a single event on DAZN is to sign up when you are sure they will be carrying it but not more than a week before. The same day you sign up for a month's subscription, cancel your subscription. Yes, cancel it even before the event starts. Their policy is to charge you for a month after you cancel. Your subscription will still be active for a month after you cancel.

If you wait for the end of the month to cancel, you will be charged for a second month.

If you cancel immediately after subscribing, you should be charged no more than one day extra (total 31 or 32 days).

I have heard of people being unable to cancel, so use a funds source that you can turn off. I think you can do that with credit cards and PayPal, but I'm not sure.

The only trouble I have had cancelling recently is that now you have to jump through several hoops -- Do you really want to cancel? Please enter your password to continue. Do you want continue to cancel your subscription? (CANCEL) (CONTINUE) -- crap like that.

thanks, what you said is similar to what I read.
I figured at 24.99 x2 + tax for 5 days is too much for me plus the hassle.
I already considered the credit card dispute angle but I’ve had enough of fixing problems that I didn’t create.
I Do figure this is good information for anyone buying into DAZN for the sole purpose of watching DAZA for just Mosconi

It’s not cheap. But I just go all-in for the annual subscription anyway. If that’s Matchroom’s preferred way to indirectly take my money, that’s how they’ll get it. Because I can’t imagine living the year without seeing all their events. The production is just too good and I’m too invested.

I also subscribe to the annual subscription. Besides watching pool, I also like watching snooker and DAZN seems like a good way to watch a lot of it. Definitely not cheap, but worth it for me.

I think I got hit for about 1 1/2 months last year, but I knew about their policy, and and simply forgot to cancel. But I figure, even at $50, it's still cheaper than flying to Europe. So I'll be in again this year.

I attended the event in 2019. It was fun.

I guess it's $24.99. Like Bob mentioned cancel with 30 days notice. I think it was $19.99 and cancel anytime for the last few years. And before that it was really cheap, something like less than $10.00. I don't mind $24.99 but I'd feel displeased getting charged for 2 months. Then I'd soon forget about it.

I like to watch the UK Snooker Championship and Mosconi is usually the week after. Then I pause my subscription until the Snooker World Championships then I unpause and repause until the next big tournament they are streaming. I has worked for me fairly well. I am paying 19.99 and generally pay for 4-5 months a year.

Do you have to pay for a year to do this pause/unpause thing? Is that the "Monthly Saver" shown above? Is there any kind of expiration?

I have only ever paid by the month, I started my first subscription several years ago.

10 Matchroom Event for $225 means you’re paying $22.5 per event if you let yourself think of it that way.

Compare that to the $80 ($60 on discount) AccuStats tried asking from people for a single event.
