Watching Phil Burford and Ralf Souquet FINALS NOW

Burford wins 11:10

Down 10-8 against one of the world's best players.

In another thread someone mentioned that Phil is now an official instructor of CTE/Pro1.

I guess this win will be an asset to him during the twilight of his teaching days.

Good Match!! Phil was up 5-2, Ralf came back made it 9-6 and 10-8!!
Phil played well to win it in the end!! Congrats Phil!!

A tremendous match today, just got home from Telford about 30 minutes ago, it's now 1.45am in the UK! I have to say from a commentator's point of view it was an absolute delight to call this match, Phil had a superb weekend and this win was well deserved. Commiserations to Ralf who also put in a brilliant show this weekend, and this is hopefully just the first of many brilliant match-ups in this season's GB9ball tour.

How many AZ members have played on the GB 9 Ball Tour? Don't forget the next event is just a few weeks away..

That's an interesting question, but I might suggest that you make a poll of that. Your question may get lost in this thread, unfortunately.

Even with a new thread, it is unlikely that all of the players would read it since Thread topics leave the front pages quickly when they are not replied to and then are just "off the radar screen" of most posters.

I listened to the match and you and the other person did a great job with commentary. I've picked up a couple of tips from you guys. :)

Phil Burford is an exciting player, although you would never know that by any braggadacio on his part.

Sponsors would be SMART to pick up this young talent and put him on the payroll. Like Landon Shuffett, not only is he talented, but smart too. He's back in college/university as well.

If that isn't enough, he goes out the following week and wins an Italy championship too. :yeah:

Yea I think OB Cues are glad to have him signed up. Big star of the future for sure. Also very down to earth which is nice to see.

Joey

I might try and do that Joey, if I can work out how!
