Never really watched too many of his matches, and now wish I had. I see why people often say he's the best. Does he ever miss???

there's just a difference when these guys play. You can see others put a hurt on someone and you're like "that was nice/strong/blah blah blah" but when these guys do it.... I don't know, it just looks clean, and effortless.

Those were the days.

Now it's played in front of empty bleachers in Qatar. Sigh.

a year or so after he won the WPC, WU was trying to avoid mandatory military service in Taiwan. It wasn't good publicity and he actually wound up becoming a citizen of Singapore to get out of TW. Maybe after 2 years there in Singapore, he got sick of that and went back to TW and spent the 14 months in the military or whatever it was that was required

Not long after, he moved to China Proper (Red China) and not too long after that, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. I dont know what Country he is a citizen of at the present moment but I would have to call his life since he won the WPC 'tumultuous' to say the least.Hard to believe he is able to make a ball really.

Anyway all of the above is from my memory and there may very well be some inaccuracies.

as I know of, Wu has fully recover from Leukemia and has been able to focus on pool in 2015. He has been very solid in the China's CBSA tour, finishing high in them and beating top PI and TW players with ease.

His results in this year's has been very good, and I think he will be even better in the next few years. he has that potential. At 15 yo, he was tipped by F Bustamante to dominate pool in the future.

In 2008 he had the chance to be the first ever player to win world 8ball 9ball and 10ball title, and despite being led by Appleton, Wu played his own pool resiliently and push Darren all the way.

He does not miss often.

There are other people who shoot as straight, Ko certainly pots balls as well and probably breaks a little better, especially in 10-ball.

The thing with Wu though, he pots as well as anyone out there while working the cueball like no other Taiwanese player. He is like taking Ko level potting ability, and combining it with Bustamante amounts of spin and cue ball control. Suffice to say it produces a monster player.
