Thread 'Don "Wateredog" Edwards passed away'

To everyone who knew "Waterdog", Don Edwards, he passed away on Wednesday, August 9th in the morning. He was very well known in the Chicago area and was a regular at Chris's Billiards. I have no more information on services or any details. You can try Chris's, and maybe they can tell you more there.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I got to play Waterdog in a handicapped tournament once at Chelsea Billiards in New York City in 1997. Though no longer at his peak as a player, he had to give me the five ball as a spot in 9ball and I beat him 7-6, but he owned me in the Calcutta and ended up making a halfway decent score when I finished second. He was also known as "Buffalo Bill" at that time. I didn't know him well, but his was a very sad story.
