I'm thinking of getting a standard maple 13mm shaft for my Mezz. Any cuemakers have the tap to make one? Any idea as to cost to make me a shaft? You can answer here or please feel free to PM me with any info. Thanks

I had a customer

Want to buy one of my cf shafts for a mezz wavy, I checked and a tap is $385. Nope.

Yes, you are right. For the shape, wavy has double thread pitch which looks like complex. But follow the thread OD, pitch distance and radiu, I would say my tap won’t make mistake to pair the thread. If exactly match, 4 times price to get one. Mine’s just another choice for specific requirement. Thanks

I had bought a wavy wx700 mezz shaft in the past and put it on my Hill cue, ( custom 3/8-10 with radial pitch ) went on tight but with some candle wax and a little back and forth effort it did go on. Idk if it will work the other way around. Also I have seen some ( normal ) mezz shafts out there.

Uh, huh? Not sure what you're implying here. What I need is a shaft made for a AXI with the Wavy pin. I'm not gonna try to force some wrong-threaded shaft onto this pin.

Since all the big pins are about 5/16 or 8mm, you can with enough elbow grease, force any shaft with wood thread onto any of those pins, I still say your ruining the shaft and if your real unlucky the joint pin too.

I agree 100 percent. I don't know when the thinking on this changed but it certainly wasn't by anyone that understands threading.
