WB Tips

Appx 5 or 6 years ago WB tips were brown. Those tips were med to med hard at best. Then they changed their mixture, that is when the tips became a very dark and very hard. As I recall both were still made but the brown colored ones (so I was told) become hard as well.

I may not be exact here but what I'm looking for is the softer brown ones. I play with Schon tips but they season their own which I thought to originally be the softer brown tips. If I can't find any of the older Brown WB tips then I'll have to order more Schon tips.

So does anybody have some old stock you'd like to sell? Or, are they still made in different hardness?

There are differant brands of water buffalo tips. I've always liked the W/B brand myself When thay first came out around 1996 they were available dyed in a number of colors such as red and green and black and maybe others, can't remember. The brown ones were the natural ones. I don't beleive they have any of the colored ones any more, just the brown. It doesn't seem to me that they have got any harder over the years though. One thing I have noticed and complained about is the thicknes of them. They used to be about 50% thicker than they are now. Rhino tips are a very hard water buffalo however.

WB brand is what I want. In your opinion are the brown ones appx med to maybe med hard? If so can you point me to a supplier? I really don't need that many maybe a dozen or so. I just don't want the very dark and very hard WB brand tips. Are you familiar with those as well?
Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry, I don't know where that name popped up from. Sumo tips are what I was refering to when I said Rhino. Atlas carries them.
