We Be Waitin In St. Lou.

Tom,

I just got home from Vegas today and got moved in and everything. I will be hitting the St. Louis pool scene very soon. The break is very close as is Mark Wilson's pool room, the Billiards Bullpen.

Take care,
Sarah

Sarah - You mentioned you might be moving to St. Louis. When? And will you be hanging your hat at The Break?
Tom

Where's The Break located? Is it the premier pool hall in the St. Louis area for action?

Flex,

The Break is in Cahokia, IL. It the last Illinois exit before entering St. Louis. I hear that there has been quite a bit of action there.

Thanks Sarah! One of these days when I get back to my ole stompin' grounds I'll have to go in and check it out...

Best,

Flex

Sarah,

The Break is real nice. I had the opportunity to play there a couple years ago. I actually finished third and didn't even want to play that weekend. I lost to Gail Lave for the hot seat and then Julia Gabriel made 3 nine ball breaks on me. It was rack your own and then I decided to check the rack. Needless to say, she still killed me, but at least I got paid for it!

Good luck on your move,

Susie

Susie,

The Break is a nice place with friendly people. I have been going to that room for tournaments since I was 12 years old. I haven't been there much in the recent years but I do plan on visiting soon.

For those of you in St. Louis that have been wondering where I have been...watch out..I think I'm going to hit the pool scene this weekend. If anyone in the area knows of tournaments coming up please let me know. I don't really know much about pool in the area.

Thanks,
Sarah

Sarah...I know of a few one on one pool tournaments. In fact, I have a game lined up for you with one of the better players in the area already. He said that if you feel like you need weight, he would match up with you and would be happy to get you started in the St. Louis pool scene.

midwest nine ball tour stops in Alton, IL

Dear Sarah,

The next good tournament in the St. Louis area that I know about is Alton. Riverbend Billiards to be exact. It is a two day tournament that begins on July 16. It would be great to see you there!

Sincerely, Jacob

Sarah,

Sometime in November there is going to be a huge pool tournament in Jamaica with $10K added. I'll let you know more later if you are interested!

Um, if this is the Jamaica that I am thinking of, I will volunteer my caddy services. I know it's not golf, but no need for you to carry your own case in Jamaica. :D

Jake, thank you for the tournament info.

Susie...Jamaica...of course I would like to know about that tournament!!

Landshark...a caddy...what a great idea! You might be too tired for the job though considering the bun in the oven will almost be fully prepared!

Sarah,

All I know right now is that it is going to be in Montego Bay at the end of November (the 26-27 I think). I will talk to my friend soon who is hosting the event. Aparantly, they were able to get some real nice sponsorships for it. Zane and I are planning on going to it and making it into a week long vacation. There are basically 3 major cities in JA and they are Mo Bay, Ocho Rios (which is abou 1 1/2 hrs from Mo Bay where you can climb the waterfall), and Negril (about 1hr from Mo Bay which is known for the 7 miles of beaches, cliff diving, and Hedonism). All 3 cities are beautiful! The tournament will be held at a bar on the main strip called Bottom Road which is right near Margaritaville and all the nightclubs as well as near the craft market. It will be on bar boxes. Give me a call or send me an email in the next week or two and then I can give you more info.

Hi Sarah,
I still need to get you a copy of those photos from G-Cue. I will burn them to disk for you. I think I have some of you from Chris' as well. Let me know if you still want them.

How is the St. Louis area treating you?

Susie

Susie,

If you could copy those pictures that would be great. Thank you. It's no rush, whenever you have time.

St. Louis is going alright. I've been practicing alot trying to get ready for upcoming tournaments.

Hope you are doing well,
Sarah

When are you at Mark's?

As I go over to The Break almost every afternoon - Mark's isn't that far away. I need to talk to Mark about a couple of things I need help with anyway. "OFFENCE & DEFENSE"

Thanksgiving weekend in Mo-Bay...hmmmmmmmmm, sounds like a blast. If you go, take the trip to Negril...prettiest damn sunset in the caribbean. Ocho Rios is cool but kinda touristy. Port Antonio is also nice but outta the way. I lived in Negril for several months back in 1983 <and found out that a big white bass player has no place in a reggae band in Jamaica> but the land was beautiful, the people friendly, the food <ya mon, Ox Tail with a drink called "Ting"> took some getting used too but fun never the less.
