compaired to other boards as big as AZ its arguably the best board as far as thread integreity, lack of trolls etc. Most boards this big are troublesome and filled with trolls OR overly moderated and that takes away alot of good content, if a thread goes in 2 directions but the 2 directions are quality content, small boards typically dont need much moderation, big boards need alot of moderation-this one currently dosent IMO, which is a complement to the active posters.

The biggest thing i see is that people arent using the US OPEN category to post updates and opinions and thats making alot of clutter.:cool:

This is a very good format, why do we need a moderater?? From what I see we call each other on our 'caca'. I need to know when I'm out of line and there are just hundreds of guys & gals out there willing to tell me. Thanks for being there. Even at 6 in the am.

This thread reminds me of the Resident Advisors we had in our college dormitory everybody used to laugh at.

Last time I checked, there were moderators here. How long have you been away? The moderators have lives, but they are pretty good at picking up on stuff, especially if it's brought to their attention by some concerned party. This ain't rsb. One of the major reasons I left rsb was the "usenet police" telling all the rest of us how and what to post on an almost daily basis.

lol, guilty your honor. I missed the gardening and lawnmower repair threads so obviously you were using this as a platform to speak out against my couple of poker tournament "sweat" threads. I still fail to see where this causes a problem. If you don't want to know where I stand in a tournament at 12 o'clock in the afternoon, then simply DO NOT CLICK on the thread. I think I title them so everyone knows exactly what the thread is about. The fact that a dozen or so AZ MEMBERS actively watch the tournament that I'm in should be enough to warrant the thread. The reason I start a thread when I go deep in a tourney is because a lot of the people on here that I've grown to know in the past several months all enjoy poker and might want to watch while they are at work or what have you. I thought the forum was about enjoyment among pool enthusiasts and the interaction on the main forum is very enjoyable to me.
As I have said before, I love playing and gambling on pool. I love going to tournaments and interacting with the pros, most of which I know very well and interact with out of the pool room. However, I do not care a bit in the world about squirt or shaft deflection, but that doesn't mean I disrespect the ones that start or contribute to those threads. They are an integral part of pool and I respect that. I simply don't click on the threads and it is not a big deal at all to me.
 
Maybe there should also be a Rest in Peace thread. I don't guess that is pool related. You folks who want to serve as forum police should lighten up. If thre is a topic that you don''t find interesting then you should avoid it. Until this forum becomes strictly about lawn mower repair or whatever then I do not see a need to complain.

You folks who don't enjoy what is being discussed over a span of a few days should just stay away for that duration like I do.

Mrs. G is a respected member who apparently feels that some subjects are becoming redundant, rude and not moderated. She never complains, so apparently, there are some issues that need addressing.

Mike has recently moved and Chuckelez has been busy as well. I am not privy to what Mr. Wilson has been up to, so I have no clue on his whereabouts. I have brought this subject to Mike's attention, so he is aware of what's going on.
There isn't any need to "respectfully" bash Mrs. G for bringing light to this issue.

who bashed her? I saw some opinions from several members. THE MAJORITY of whom saw nothing wrong with the forum. I think that the other members are just as respected as Mrs. G and their opinions should be valid as well. I also re-read my post and I am quite certain that I did not in any way "bash" her.

I saw a little sarcasm in some of the posts. What is wrong with that? I think she was being a bit sarcastic with her "gardening and lawn mower" comment, don't you?
