We should have a gold members tourney!!!

I am going to say right off the bat... I am in no way qualified to run, organize or even recommend what steps might or might not work...

but....

I think it would be really cool if there was an AZB gold members only, tournament.

Small entry, and likely in conjunction with some other event to help with participation.

It would certainly be cool to meet as many of my fellow goldies as possible

Or how about a tourney for all of us who were gold members for two years when the call first came out and were unceremoniously turned off without so much as a thank you or warning that "your membership is expiring, we appreciate your loyalty for the past two years, would you like to renew?"

Funny you say this. I just got a reminder from AZB to renew my gold membership to include a link via Paypal to pay just last week.

does being a gold member mean that you're a good player or is this going to a huge mix of talent. some A's or Open Pro matching up with a bunch of C's or ones and twos?

oh and I think after all the year of being looked at as less than nothing one or two "bronze" members should be allowed to enter cause the "gold" member owe it to them.

I did not get a reminder twice,I do not think they had that set up to remind you. The third time it was because my email addrss had changed and I did not think to update it.

Don't feel bad. Mine expired two weeks or so ago and I didn't get a reminder. It would be nice if you could see when you started your Gold Member status on here somehow.

I like the idea of a Gold member shindig. Might I suggest we do this somewhere nice and centrally located? I am thinking Milwaukee WI at Romines Hi Pockets would be a splendid location and a decent pool hall for a gathering like this.:thumbup:
