Now the only one I can currently spot is my wife haha but.......
I may play a guy I know and get a spot.
Let's say I'm getting the 7.
If I break and run (and make the 7) I win.
What if the other player makes the 7 on the break?
Is it just like a regular game then? Or (if not on a bar table) would you spot up the 7?

Say the other player makes a 3-7 combo.
The 9 is the only game ball for me then right?
Or maybe if you decide before hand, the 7 would get spotted but he continues shooting?

Thanks for answering my dumb questions...........

Yes if you break and run and make the 7, you win.

If its his break, obviously you are racking, so you put the 7 at the back two balls spot (that way he has a very small chance of making it on the break)

I've always played that if he makes the 7 on a combo it does stay down, and now the 9 is both of yours money ball. This also is pretty rare where he has a combo at one of your money balls. This is why I like getting the last 2 or the last 3, that way you are guaranteed money balls at the end of the rack.
