About 7 years Steve Hegg and I captured every shot from Weingartner Billard Program using the older wei caromtable and put it online. It is a collection of 76 shots on gathering balls in balkline billiard. Recently I have re-created a new edition using the new 3cCueTable. The URL is http://wbpb.blogspot.com/

For those who don't play billiard but are somehow curious: every shots in the new edition has set up in a "question/answer" format unto 2 pages. You can think of them as a series of fun puzzles.

Here are some brief instructions:

0, Click on the shot number (1-76) on the right to see a layout. Each has two pages, using the page arrows next the the page number located at lower right side of the table to navigate

1, You are always the yellow ball
2, You always have to shoot at the white ball first
3, Before your ball (yellow) stops, it has to touch the red ball
4, All 3 balls has to stay inside of the green zone at the end
5, You can use the description below each layout as hints

Warning: This can be a very addictive activity.

I would love to run another video contest over these.

btw, I have been looking for Steve Hegg all this time. If anyone know where he is about please let me know.

Interesting. Is that the same Steve Hegg that was an Olympic Bike racer?

Wow, he rides a Litespeed... Nay, not the same person.

Even though we have worked closely on the Weingartner Billard Program together, I have only met steve only twice at carom cafe a few years ago. He is a decent player who averages around 0.5-0.6.

He is from Michigan. I asked Dennis Dieckman before but he didn't know where to find Steve either... So if anyone know please send me an email :)

Here is an example (shot 60)

How would you shoot this to following the instruction from above?

Thanks for putting this up. Would it be possible to have static GIFs of the shots for those people who do not (and perhaps cannot) have the required plug-in on their systems?

Cool. That is kind of an unusual name and since he is older now I thought it just might be the same guy:)

Hi Guys:

Sorry it has taken me a while, the conversion job took a lot long than what I estimated. But here it is, Weingartner Billiard Program in Gif format outputted by 3cCuetable:

CueTable Public Library > Shot Database > Special Shots > WBP
http://pl.cuetable.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72

Look at the solution for shot 57, it amazes me everytime I look at it

BTW, I have also started a section called "Layout Deposit" to archive some layout discussion from all sources. This can be a very useful project and I need volunteers to help. Please contact me for details :)

Enjoy!
