Weird Feel On New Board

hi, it's bernie. my nickname is the silencer. the reason why, is when i show up for tournaments, if the people know me, the place becomes silent, from fear. if they don't know me, i "look" harmless, but after they see me play, once again, the place goes silent, hence the nickname "the silencer" anyway, this board, has a cold strange "feel" to it, i long for the old "simple" board, any thoughts?

All I can ask is that you give this a shot Bernie.

It is a little less of a 'free for all' than the old boards were.

I personally like this software a lot.

i think the reason why is because you can't see all the posts nor all the names who posted, all at once.

fer' instance, if i want to read all the posts of my favorite poster, "bernie", i could do so easily on the old board, cuz good ole bernie's moniker would stick out like a sore thumb.

now, i must search through every post to catch BERNIE's latest. unless, of course, he starts a thread, like this one. in which case i know there will be a plethora of BERNIEs.
 
You can also click the 'search' button below any person's post to bring up a search of all of their posts.

i kinda like this one.....more organise...not like the old post were you gotta keep scrolling down for the thread.:D

Well, for one it doesn't run in Perl. We did not want to move Perl over to the new server that we moved the site over too.

It requires registration which keeps all that stupid posting under other people's names out of the picture.

I like the organization and I personally think it is easier to find new posts with this software.

Also has a LOT more bells and whistles.

I agree, Bernie, maybe I'll get used to it
but it just not as much fun. I do understand
house pros point about fake names, however.

I think this board whoops the other one's ass. :D A lot more organized and I think it's just easier for people to respond with real answers and not someone trying to act tough or show off. GJ on the message board
