Weiss WM290F

Any experiences with this lathe or the Weiss brand?
Seems very reasonable priced and it comes with a 38mm spindle bore.
700mm between centers might be a bit on the short side, but still..

I think that I will take 2 of em. Hope they pay for shipping as well.

Even tho Canadian, I wish sites wouldn't do that Metric stuff. Now I am going to have to convert 700 mm.

Looks like a nice lathe, if only I knew what 700 mm means.

Unfortunately, 27.5 inches.

You can still do lots with it Kim. Just not going to be putting butts or shafts between centers.

You also lose at least 4 inch if you use a chuck.

It is definitely too short. You'd be looking for a longer bed the first week you got it.
