Remember that is butt only. Still needs another $100 plus to get a shaft for it. Jonhny V nice find.:) are you going to need one of those cues we talked about while you get the shaft made?

So, did you get the original shaft with it? Or was it just for the butt?

It is just the butt. I have a 314 and 3 other shafts that will fit the cue. (5/16 x 14) I went on tim's site and it states that he will make a shaft with an ivory ferrule for 225. I think I will do that and have the whole thing an original.

I am just waiting for it to arrive. Man do I become impatient when I know something is in the mail...

A new Scruggs shaft will set you back considerably more than $100. They are going for $200-250 now. You might be able to find one on the secondary market, but you need to use a micrometer to measure the joint. Tim's sneakies typically run 0.810-0.820" at the joint. Still, if you have a new Scruggs shaft made for it, you will only have around $475-500 in what is basically a new Scruggs sneaky.

I've got a great suggestion for you....

One of the best hitting cues that I ever played with was a proficient billiards sneaky pete. Scotts taper was very similar to scruggs shafts that I have played with. Scott is super to work with and I think would probably make you shafts in and around $100. He can probably put on whatever taper you wanted, come to think of it....

Just my 2 cents worth.

Regards,

Doug

cue

I see alot of people bashing ebay all the time on here. Wow i was suprised to see a positive.
Thanx, Ron

I would have Bob Frey make a shaft for it. He used to build alot of sneakies for Tim.

alot or all? tim will not make anymore sp's. all he will do is refer you to bob. i think bob did them all...lol

Waiting for this is killing me... This is a reason I am not a fan of BidPay. It takes forever for them to do things. Don't they know that I have games to win? Arrrrggggg!!!!

Not Sooooooooo great!

After shipping and a new shaft from Timi you will have at least $550.00 or more in that thing. I think the deal got you. But you got a fair value at a fair price.
Nick :)

I think it was a great deal.. Im just an impatient person.

It's funny, I can wait forever looking for a good deal but as soon as I put my money down on it I want it yesterday. I think that is why I have never had a custom cue made. Waiting 6 months to a year after putting the cash down on it would be too much to handle. Hell even when I got my cloth from granito I checked the damn tracking number everyday until it showed up even tho the table was still in pieces. Go figure.

I know where it comes from. When I was around 12 and Sears had mail order I ordered a dremel with my Xmas money from Grandma. I was so excited dreaming of the fishing lures I was going to build to the models I was going to work on. Well the first week passes and nothing. Second week... Nothing. Third week (by this time I am going nuts) I call them and ask where its at. They tell me there was an error when they ordered it and put the wrong part number in... They said it would be another week. Fourth week... Nothing. Fifth week I call them again and they say that the Dremels have been back ordered. I freak out and ask how long they tell me it shouldn't be but a couple more weeks. I was devistated. I asked for my money back and they tell me that they can give me store credit. I told them that the only thing I want to buy they don't have (its backordered). So I patiently wait the two weeks. To end the story shortly it took over 3 months to finally get my dremel. 4 years later I had the exact same experience with a Tape recoder for my TI994a Computer (cuz you couldn't just buy any tape recorder you had to get the one that they sell at Sears). It took almost 4 months for that to show up.

Well anyway it has instilled this phobia in me that when I order something I fear that I will not get it. Match that with a horrible case of ADD and you end up with a basket case.

Johnny "V" <---- Getting up off the psyc couch. Man do I feel better!
