Make a note for Oct. 3rd & 4th as the 7th annual 9ball tournament will be held at O'Banions Pool Hall, 204 Pine St., West Monroe, La. 71291. last year's payout was $14,700.00 Only 48 players accepted and this one fills up very fast. entry fee $60.00plus a $15.00 green fee ($75.00 total), food & fun for everyone. we're thinking about a 8 person ring game for Oct. 2nd; details later. call "Good Time" at 318-388-0160 and reserve your spot.

Every entry gets a free Tee-shirt!!!

14,700! I may have to come home for this one. Haven't been back since last Christmas and haven't been to O'banions in at least 10 years. I'm assuming the tournament is texas express on 8 fts? What are the races to?

I think this event would do better if you had the ring game on Friday and the Tournament on Saturday & Sunday. Tough for a lot of people to get off Thursday & Friday.

Also this is the same weekend as the Houston Open. FYI.

Just spoke to "Good Time". Tournament is Alternate Break, Texas Express, Race to five on both sides. Played on Valley Bar boxes with red circle cue ball.

Although the dates may conflict with other tournaments, this tournament has always filled up. Likely due to the amount of money payed out combined with fact that the field usually isn't as strong as the bigger tournaments. Only 48 spots are available and a number of locals get in because of the cheap beer and FREE food. This is a FUN tournament that just happens to pay out a lot of money.

Correct... West Monroe still has the old "Blue Law" and because Obanions sells beer they cannot be open on Sunday.
