West Virginia

If you are looking for action, try the Purple Cow in Morgantown. It is a bar, but you won't have any trouble. Some of the country's best have come through there without a problem. The owner is a good guy.

Also, Morgantown has a couple of pool rooms... Strokerz and the Met.
 
Great but i was really looking for some people who are from west virginia or any one who knwo some good players or gamblers or anyone that plays good from there
 
There used to be alot of action in Huntington. Go to House of Billiards on 4th and see if there is a guy named Joe...... I think his last name was Atkins or Atkinson.... something along those lines. He was always up for a game.

Morgantown has some guys who will gamble and like
to say they have played top players. Mike Shaver in
Weston used to be pretty strong but I hear he's been sick.
There's a few in Charleston who do pretty good in Vegas. They
used to play at the bowling alley in S. Charleston.
The guy that owns the only pool hall in Parkersburg might
try you some 9 ball. An Italian fella in Morgantown, Joey, has
played most hustlers who have come through there and he's not nitty.
 
Come up about an hour North and you can get played in Canton Ohio or let me know what you have in mind and We can arrange something for WV.

Hey you solicitated action, and I am offering to make something happen. A few people reply to your thread and the theme seems to be he won't play, he can't play, he doesn't bet enough etc. If you really want played let me know who you are and what type of bet you are looking for and I will bring someone down. There is no need to insult people that are doing what you ask. Chris is a good friend of mine he is by no means a world beater but I have a lot of faith in his ability. Corey can be available if the game, and bet is in line. If you are going to come on here and ask for action be diplomatic when answering peoples replies. Everyone on this message has been helpfull from relaying stories of my grandfather, to keeping a lookout for my stolen cues. Be kind and respectful and you will enjoy your time on the board. Act otherwise and you will not get many replies to any thread you start.

If you want to do something from 1k-20k let me know.

Good answer Huck. I think we or have probably heard the last from this guy.

Sounds to me like he's looking for somebody he is sure he can beat or just talking. Everybody mentioned is either not good enough or too good. I don't think he's really looking for a game.

Look up Chris Shepard or Buford Lust. On a barbox you have your hands full with Chris and Buford plays on both.

Little out of your way, but the Tiger Planet Pool tour is in Sterling VA this weekend. Pretty sure you can get played there. I think there's a guy named Mike Painter in WV who likes to gamble but I'm not sure where one would find him. Maybe someone else could help.
 
lol. I like this place already. :p It freaking even feels like a pool hall in here. lmao! I love pool players. We belong in the mos eisley cantina on star wars.

If you are looking for bigger money, see if little Larry Dalton is still in Ashland. I remember him playing for a dime here and there. Big Larry would probably play, but its been several years since Ive seen him, dont know where his game is.

MAp man thank you for your help it is a good idea i might actually go to virginia ANd river city i have heard of Larry or big Larry and from the info i got he is not playing anymore or at least not betting because they have heard nothing about him but i do appreciate the sincere help you 2 have given me
