What are my options of shafts that will fit that Pechauer speed joint?

Are there many other shaft makers that make a shaft that will fit good on the Pechauer speed joint?

I do not care about the joint being identical to the joint on the shaft of my Pechauer cue, so any shaft that will do the job and fit nice and flush on it I would be happy to know about.

I do not care for the short taper (I think it is only a 12 inch taper) that is on my Pechauer, so I would really like to find a shaft (that will fit the unique speed joint) that has a much longer taper.

Thanks for any recommendations, on shafts that you know of, that will fit the Pechauer speed joint, that have a longer taper.

Thanks.

Predator, OB, Jacoby, Pechauer all make shafts for the Pechauer Speed Joint. Brian.

You won't go wrong with the Jacoby Hybrid Edge. I've played with the OB, Predator, flat laminated and Mezz. The Jacoby seems to play the best for me.

Is this regarding the Pechauer you're selling in the FS section? Another flip?

Really? Who cares?

Just trying to stop the conversation. He always mentions a particular brand of cue, when he has that exact brand for sale. He's basically advertising his FS cues in the main forum, just in a discreet manner.

I'm bringing attention to it. Maybe the mods will clue in, and delete these threads.

I mentioned this a while ago to someone when Justin posted a link to a cue on eBay that was for sale in his neck of the woods. Convenient way to get your sale out to the largest pool audience on the internet (main forum of azbilliards).

Clever marketing if nobody notices or takes offence.

I've got a few cues coming up for sale. Preemptive warning: be prepared for some "what are your thoughts on X cues?" coming from me in the next week.

He's a nut !!!

You're kidding,right ???

"What are your opinions on a Rick Howard Birdseye Maple plain jane with two shafts?"

"What's your opinion on a Tiger Sneaky Pete with X shaft?"

"What's your opinion on the Lucasi Big Beulah 2 break cue?"

"What's your opinion on a JB (nut)Case, Rugged 2/5?"

There's my first 4 threads.....

Thank you for the info. I was hoping that the speed joint might fit other joints possibly (even if they were not intended to). Thanks anyways, for the helpful info.

You may think what you like, but you are wrong. I was honestly just looking for info about shafts that are known to fit the unique speed joint. I really do wish that cue makers would stop creating unique joints that will only fit on their own cues. IT is nice that at least a few other cue makers make a shaft that will fit that unique speed joint.

So why are you looking for a replacement shaft for a cue you have for sale? Simple question...:

If I were wanting (or looking) to buy a replacement shaft for my cue, then I would have posted in the WTB section of the forum (which I have not done). I posted this thread in the Main forum, because I was curious what my options are for shaft replacements for the Pechauer speed joint. That is all. I asked for information about shaft replacements for a very unique joint (that is all). I Made no mention of anything else (that you are referring to), so I honestly do not understand why you think that I have done anything wrong here. Makes no sense to me. Was just asking for information. I like to ask questions. I really do wish that I could ask many of my questions anonymously, so that I would not get bashed and made fun of nearly as much.

If you like a long pro taper on your shaft I'd suggest trying out a Jacoby Edge hybrid shaft in 12.75mm. It has a really long pro taper nearly 18" long and they play well. I have two for my Barnhart that I play with, maim one that is worn down to 12.5 and a new one at 12.75 as a spare.

Hopefully this is of some value to you.

Surely you jest. That never happens here.:eek:
Any Cue mechanic can modify a shaft to accommodate your joint. Seyberts probably offers a couple ready to go but not all piloted shafts from other cues will fit unless the insert is modified.
Welcome to AZ.
Happy Holidays
