What are your most, and least favorite Cue accessories

I am talking accessories like a Case, Willard Shaper, Towel, Chalk. Tip Tools, etc.

Accessories you would buy again, and those you wished you never bought in the first place.

I gotta have my Moosehead bridge. It saved my bacon many a time!!!

The one accessory I wish I'd have never bought was the Porper Tip Clamp. That thing is as useless as tits on a boar hog :D !!!

i have one of those ultimate tip tools. it costs about 20 bucks and it's supposed to be one of those all in one tools. i honestly only use it to shape the tip. it's nice because i can step on it while i'm shaping the tip. i have a willards too. it's nice but i don't have the option to step on it. don't ask why i think it's so important to be able to step on it but it makes it easier in my opinion. i do have access to a lathe so i don't use it much but it comes in handy when i'm playing at the bar or something.

A cue claw with out a doubt is my most used item and the one i would miss the most.

most used: pocket chalker
least used: tip-pik

just from what's in the case.

Least favourite would be bottles of baby powder that some players are not skimpy on, getting all over the rails, table, floor, my pants, cues and ceiling. You would never catch me with that in my case.

I stopped using my pocket chalker recently, but that used to be the most used item.

Ultimate tip tool is handy, as well as a cue claw. Of all the things (apart from cues) in my case, my bottle of 800mg Ibuprofen is used the most.

i used to use a cue claw all the time. i don't miss it.

i need to buy a bridge head.

The need is pool hall specific , mine has round tables, and backless stools. so there is no place to rest your cue where it won't end up on the floor or sliding down the wall.

if you don't miss, you don't have to put your cue down :D

what about your break cue or when your playing cue is sitting while your breaking with you rbreak cue? :D

but yeah, i'd have to say my most used is my cue claw, second would be my pocket chalker, hich i wouldn't even use but hell if i'm gonna get caught forgeting my blue dimond chalk thats 3 bucks a cube....

my least favorite i would say is, before i bought a cue claw, i picked up tiger paw and boy was that a waste of money. sure its more compact, but for a third the cost, the cue claw works much better and has 2 more slots.

as far as completly worthless, all those stroke aids ou there. back in my day, we used an empty coke bottle and walked up hill both ways barefoot in the snow just to get to the room.....:p

also, i wouldn't really classify case and chalk in the accessories catagory with holders and trainign aids and tip repair/maitenance stuff.

Moosehead bridge, cue caddy (like a cue claw), pocket chalker (never decent chalk on a bar table) The other stuff is used BEFORE i get to the hall because the tip shaper, etc. is more easily used at home.

Woah, afaik, those are prescription-only over here. The biggest they sell at the pharmacy without a prescription are 400mg.

I've bought just about every accessory at one time or another. The only ones I use still are my magnetic chalk holder & my moosehead bridge head.
The rest of the stuff is useless including all the shapers and trimmers. In the extraordinarily rare case that I want to shape my tip, I can do it at home with a piece of coarse sandpaper. I kind of chuckle to myself when I see somebody shaping their tip mid-match thinking it will solve all their miscueing and position problems. Deno Andrews (pre-IPT) once posted that he never shaped his tip, your normal play will shape your tip appropriately for your normal play. I thought this odd, but I tried it and lo and behold he was absolutely right.
The other thing I use a lot is paper towels to keep my shaft clean, they're free in the men's room.

I stopped using my break cue a couple of months ago.

now, if they'd only outlaw jump cues so I could throw that away...

yeah, they are prescription. Arthritis is a major ***** (especially for only being 29)

Tip Pik - much better than a scuffer (doesn't remove leather) - I use this the most
Ultimate Tip Tool - only for occasional re-shaping (never for burnishing - pops tips off)
Moosehead Bridge - just in case the poolhall bridges are dangerous to my shaft
New Masters Chalk - just in case the poolhall stuff is drilled out
That Plastic Sandpaper Stuff - only for occasional shaft smoothing

chgo

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a measles cue ball.
