With all the fighting going on here lately I thought I would start a lighthearted thread about What az'er you would like to meet.Lets keep it to 5 people and an explaination why.
My list would be.......
*JAY HELFERT-good stories,loves poker,and just seems to be the KNOW of pool on this forum.
*JAM-so I could see if there is a nice person under that brash front she has.I'm sure there is.:) And to arm wrestle her.:eek: :D
*TERRY ARDENO-So I could rub that bald head of his.And to try and get him riled up,maybe see some anger out of this TOO nice of a guy.
*THE ONE-Because I seem to agree with everything he types.And also to kicks his ass at pool(ya,right):eek:
*BLACKJACK-Actually if I could sit down and have a few beers with Blackjack and Jay at the same time and b.s. about the pool scene that would be very informative.I'm buying in vegas in may.:D


and JOHN SCHMIDT-So I can see his personality,get him fired up to promote himself better,and get him to ALL the world pool championships where he belongs.

probably either Bartum because he is about like me in that he likes to stay in action constantly and that would be fun to sweat in, or Freddy the Beard because of the many tales he could tell of being on the Road and things he was seen, and Grady for probably the same thing as the beard.

I'd like to meet jimmy-leggs because I heard he has nice legs. And I want to see if it's true. You buy and I will drink. Just ask Mika. He got me drunk as a skunk in Louisvile. I got the last laugh when I went in the tournament room and barked at some guy playing Banks with Jeanette. He made me bet him the same bet as she was, 200 a game. Three games later he pulled up. :)

Actually I would like to meet him as well.That would be seven on my list.But we can't forget WALT,that would bring my list up to 12.:eek: :eek: :DTruth of the matter,I would be scared of WHICH WALTY showed up.

I have to say it (please no beat downs) - I want to meet BVal's wife. Nothing rude implied - she just seems to be a very nice looking woman.

In regards to the pool aspect of who I'd want to meet from here, it would be BlackJack. Seems like a class act (as are the rest of you).

Posters that I would really like to meet:

1) ScottR - Talked with him a bunch of times online. Seems like a great guy! Salt of the earth. I was supposed to meet up with him at the Hopkins show this year but the weather kept him from being able to fly in.

2) 1pRoscoe - One of the funniest posters here. And he likes action. We get along pretty well in the chatrooms and forums. Again, snow kept him from making it to the SBE this year but I would love to meet this guy.

3) merylane - I would LOVE to meet John and kiss his ass for a while. Maybe if he got to see what a nice guy I am and what a faithful, loyal, and giving friend I can be, he might put me on his list and hook me up with a huge discount. (But I'm not really that nice a guy. I'm not loyal, and I don't really give that much so its likely that won't happen.)

4) Blackjack - A legend in his own right and perhaps one of the most knowledgable people in this forum. I'd love to pick his brain.

5) sjm - see what i wrote about Blackjack.


And now, posters i would really like to meet, but for ALL the wrong reasons:

1) Dr. Cue's Protege - (I can't really say why I wanna meet him because I might get banned)

2) travis trotter - (see explanation above)

3) Bishop - Bishop and I have squared off several times in the forums. While we seldom agree on things, I will say this: he understands the art of debate. So many people in here are quick to turn an argument into threats and irrational dialogue. Bishop and I argue but we always seem to remain on topic without becoming overly irrational. I'd love to meet him just to debate with him.

4) NYC Cue Dude - Randy and I have had some choice words in the past. I'd just like to be able to put a face to the name.

5) Shorty - I know he's banned but still, we all know who he is. I would LOVE to meet this guy. Really. But there's no telling what I would do if we were face to face.

Jay - we have a ton in common with respect to pool, poker, and humor.
Politics, not so much, but that's ok.

The lady that didn't give the reward on the stolen Cognoscenti(can't remember her name) - I would like to give her a piece of my mind. I will also take 7 to 1 on hooking up with her.

Blackjack and JAM for lunch at Hooters - I like Blackjacks's view on things and would like to bury the hatchet with JAM. I like the view at Hooter's and if an argument insues with JAM then I won't feel bad about being rude, crude, and socially unacceptable over a plate of chicken wings and boobies.

3. Ironman - Cus we live in San Antonio and I have yet to meet/play him. Well I dunno, maybe I did see him in passing and didn't even know it.

4. Silver Wombat - To see if Jessie Doll really exists...
 
Lately I've been in political debates with LWW, CasualObserver, Hippiepool, and Hondo. All good fun, of course.

I'm curious as to who these guys are.

And I'd like to meet Linda Carter.

1. WilliBetMore - For a great 14.1 match.....

2. Blackjack - Hell I need to improve my mental game and we all know Dave is the realdeal.

3. JoeyA and SHootingArts - ShootingArts (Hu) was my weekly shootin buddy when I was in New Orleans and I even shot a few games with JoeyA at a tourney or two..

4. JAM - Hey what can I say....she is a great get to the point railbird who is with my #2 fav player of all time


5. Grady - A great all around guy who knows his stuff and I would tink be one of the best 1P and 14.1 teachers of all time.......

6. Kevin Varney - One of hte great cuemakers IMO and I would try to weasle a cue from his shop :):)

7. Russ Chewning - so I can smack the hootnannie out of him :)
