What Cue Ball do you prefer and why

In what way are they different?
Looks?

Materials?

Weight?

Playability?

Name?
Looks and Name, and that you can’t purchase a set of Brunswick Centennial balls or Brunswick Centennial blue circle cue balls from an Aramith dealer, only from a Brunswick dealer.

Why would anybody care if you can not get them from Aramith, if you can get them from another source?

I would worry about knockoffs. I saw the link you had above, which looks sort of legit, though the whites in the Centennial balls look way off, way too white. Believe Brunswick is pretty much overseas now, which wouldn't give me a lot of comfort in thinking I was really buying an original Centennial ball, whether numbered or Blue Circle cue ball.

If Brunswick sells them, you do not trust Brunswick?

The giveaway to me that the blue circle shown on pooldawg’s website is indeed legit is that pooldawg is also selling Brunswick Centennial full sets. Obviously they have some sort of dealership arrangement with Brunswick, at least for selling Brunswick Centennial balls if nothing else with the Brunswick name. If they were priced any cheaper than $30/ball or $450 for a full set, I would be suspicious, but they are not.

If you do not trust Brunswick to sell Brunswick, who do you trust to sell Brunswick?
China sells both Brunswick and knockoff Brunswick tables, for examples. The Centennial replacement balls, coming from China, make your own decision.

It is frequently stated that Aramith red circle cue balls are lighter than other cue balls. I believe red circle cue balls do tend to wear faster and become lighter. So - especially in a pool hall, older red circle balls definitely do become lighter than the object balls. But all the new red circle balls that I have bought in the last several years have weighed very close to the same at 5.9oz/ 168g - the same as a new measle ball or other Aramith set new cue balls.
Precisely. The red circle are a cheaper resin. They wear faster and therefore will get lighter faster than a measle ball

Red dot is my favorite. Every once in a while I’ll play with the measle ball, it plays good.
Cyclops cue balls on sale at Syberts for $12.50. Looks like a close out. It plays ok but the cue all is a bright white.

Did you mean Red Circle? There is a Red Dot cue ball made by Aramith, but it's rarely seen.

I just like cue balls that are solid white. I don't like all the red spots all over them or anything. It makes it harder for me to focus on where I'm trying to hit the cue ball.

Saluc makes the Brunswick blue circle, not Aramith. Saluc also makes the entire Aramith line.

If you meant they are both manufactured at the same factory, then yes, you are correct.
Saluc is the parent co. Aramith is just a brand name. All come from same factory. Semantics.

Saluc/Aramith has made the Centennials for 30+ yrs. Have any PROOF that says otherwise?? That Brunswick has its table made offshore has been known for a long time. Are there KO Centennials? Probably. I'd only by from a reputable dealer and not some fly-by-nite web listing.

Awesome thread! Very informative. I remember reading about two legendary 1 Pkt players that would never match up because they could not agree on Cue ball. One liked Red Dot, one Blue. Then a Brunswick Rep showed up at a big Tournament and let everyone know the balls were identical! The chart posted earlier supports this.
