Does anyone know?

I remember visiting a website of this cuemaker and reading about his history, and it was mentioned he made violins cellos etc prior to making cues full time.

A friend asked me whom it was the other day and I sure cant remember, Thanks..

Hmmm... does Bob Flynn make instruments? Denali cues, QMAKER on here. That might not be right...

Dan Dishaw used to work with stringed instruments.

That would be Bill Webb, he makes a fine cue. I used to own one and wishI had never sold it.

You might be talking about Kilby. He started out making instruments and moved into carom cues. He now also makes pool cues using the same wood joint pins as his carom cues. www.caromcues.com. Check it out - very interesting. I've got one of his cues and it is well made and hits great.

Thanks for the replies so far. Of the ones listed so far, none of them are ringing a bell. I know once I hear the name I will remember.

I plan to venture into classical guitar making sometime in the future... I've already done my homework on that part. Just don't have the time to dwell on it yet. One of my passions is playing classical guitar... cool to know there are also a few CM involved in some other stuff

Dan Dishaw and Bill Gibbs are a couple more who built guitars before cues. I did television cabinet repairs before building cues. Console televisions are pretty much history now so I think I changed occupations at a good time. I did use my cabinet touch up skills decide on the right formula for a shaft sealer. It is interesting to see the things people have brought over into cuemaking from other fields.

Thanks Cueman, Dan Dishaw was the man I was trying to remember.
