Let me know your thoughts... Best features of a case you've owned and worst features of cases you've owned. Pics also help if you have them!

My case is just a junky tube 1x2 brown vinyl case covered in beer labels. It does it's job i suppose, but I would like to have something a little nicer. The thing I have most about cases i've owed is bad zippers! What i like most about my case is that it's light weight and I don't care if it gets dropped or scratched up.

Please share!

Ultrapad Interior for protection.
Big Pockets for all my junk.
Jump Cue Sleeve so it doesn't get beat up by all my junk.
Lightweight. I don't like carrying another 10lbs + all my junk.

good protection
zipper that goes all the way around the pocket so its easy to open as much as necessary to get what you need
2 straps to have option to carry like back pack
top handle in addition to side handle
price that doesnt require a motrgage.....:D

Leather

Good quality leather, and a practical easy way to get cue and shafts in and out while offering good protection .

I own four (4) Instroke cases......3 hard leather ( 2 - 3x7) & (1 - 2x4) and one (1) Instroke soft leather (4x8) and One custom made lizard case (6 x 12) made by Castillo Leather.

I love the ruggedness of the Instroke hard leather cases.......sturdy and handsome design......a man's case if you know what I mean, in no way suggesting it isn't as well suited for a woman. It just looks classic, sturdy and reasonably priced as well.

Now the Instroke soft leather 4x8.....not as much in love with it........leather is nice & soft and arranges the cues really nicely. A bit over-priced in my opinion versus the 3x7 hard leather cases.

Castillo Leather.......great person to work with.......custom made cases and accessories (Gil makes a great leather chalk pouch) and high quality leather. My case is Lizard stained Cognac color. Nice design and well constructed...........my case is not only durable but just looks elegant in Lizard and the dark Cognac color just kicks ass..............more expensive than Instroke but better quality and surprisingly affordable for what you get.

Just in case anyone is interested, I'm probably going to sell one 3x7, and the 2x4 and 4x8 Instroke cases after the holidays. I'll keep one 3x7 Instroke for local play needs and the others will just never see any use again. I'll post a sales thread with photos in January after the Holiday season.......no sense imposing, or competing, with most likely everyone's Xmas spending woes. I haven't even contemplated any sales prices for the cases so sending me any PM about how much would essentially be a waste of your time.

I own 5 cases a JB 3 x 4 Mason, and a JB Salvation 2 x 4 case a JB 10 X 20 dealer case. a 2 X 4 GTF. I also have a Whitten 4 x 8 beauty. I love cases that offer good protection. I have a case under construction by Volturi 2 x 4 Custom Case. I just love good looking cases. I have had my fill of cheap cases, never again.

I wish GTF would release a 3x6 and 4x8 case.
I use GTF and It`s George 1x2 cases - love the look.

We can do a 3*6 or 4*8 in the GTF Style. You just need to order it. No plans at the moment to do a line. But for custom orders we can do them.

Cases

Cool I`ll send you a email when i have sold some cases and cues.

I wish someone would write a Blue Book of Cases, I think it would sell, there are so many cases out there and it would be nice to be able to get a value on a case when you find a good one.
thanks gary

I have several different cases from very cheap to expensive.

Each serve a need and all protect the cues adequately in my opinion.

Cheap 1/1 cases for storing in a locker in my home room. Nice leather 3-5 Instroke for myself when playing outside my home room. Custom 4-8 butterfly case if my wife and I are playing outside our home room.

In my opinion, the only functional design I don't like are pockets with zippers down the middle. It makes access difficult. All other functional design aspects on all the cases work fine.

Artistic design is a different story. Everyone has their own taste and preferences.
