the old ones with the piloted joint? i know the new ones out now are made overseas, and have a flat faced joint. i think the old ones hit really firm, and i try to buy them when they come up on e-bay ( i just got one mint for 50 bucks). i heard they were made in texas originally. does anyone know who made them, how much they sold for, or anything else of interest? thanks.

They were always made overseas as far as I know and have always been fairly inexpensive. $30 up. I think someone is confusing Libra cues with Cobra. Libra were made in Texas, but Cobra was always a low end import like Players, Mizerak etc...

Chris is right. Cobra Cues were introduced to the US market back in the late 1980s (1988?) and, if my memory serves me right, were imported and marketed by the Victor Conti Co.

Cobra was one of the first cues I played with and that was over 10 years ago.I remember that it did have a very solid hit though.I saw that they played alot better than a Player to. :D
