What do you think about graphite cues?

I have a graphite cue from Players Graphite Series (model T-G10) but I just can't play with it because the shaft doesn't glides smoothly on my bridge hand. After 1 hour of playing with it my finger got a blister.
Why they make this kind of cues ? I can't play with it even if I put a lot of chalk on my fingers.

graphite cues are terrible, the only way you will ever get that thing to glide through your bridge hand smoothly is by using a glove.

I don't like to use a glove so a think I will throw it away!
Who invented this garbage shaft?

you guys ever notice that somepeople even thought they have a graphite cue will still use a house cue to break with.

I always thought that Cuetec and the glove maker must have a deal going. Why would you ever make a shaft that won't glide through your fingers??? I wonder if they have anyone working for the company that has ever played pool. I would be surprized if they did!

If I had a graphite cue I wouldn't break with it either. I would rather use a house cue. Then after the break, I would continue shooting with the house cue, and throw the other one away.

Hey they work ok..... when you add a bridge head to them. ie JUSTABRIDGE
OOoooh, good idea.

*Mental Note: Run to Sears at the mall and pick up a graphite cue to use as a bridge with your Justa bridge. If sold out try Walmart.*

You know what he means. He is saying anyone involved in the development of the cue, because it doesn't glide thru your hand easily.

Seriously though, what the hell is Cuetec giving them to make them stay with Cuetec for that long. It centainly cant be the cues.

Thanks for having my back! Hey, I would "work for Cuetec" too, if they paid me the kind of money they pay these two. Just have to work on my game a little. If they play so good with a Cuetec, just imagine how good they would play with a good cue!!!

Or some eyelets and a reel. Hook and bait and your good to go:D :D

Cuetec gives graphite a bad name. I think it's more of there not-so-Truglide finish. The Scorpion jump cue is made of graphite and that slips through the fingers with ease.

I was given a graphite cue about 15 or so years ago as a gift for my birthday.

It was stolen out of my car one night in New York.

I must thank the thieves because I no longer had to come up with excuses as to why I wasn't using it when I saw the person who gave it to me.

Maybe it was just the one I had but I did not like the balance or the feel of it while shooting.

This thread started out talking about graphite cues. Now there are a lot of people talking about Cuetec as if they are the graphite cue kings. If I recall correctly, very few, if any, Cuetec cues are graphite. Most of them are maple, with a fiberglass coating. I'm not a big fan of the fiberglass coated cues, but they are a huge step up from graphite.

I don't think Earl or Allison use graphite cues.
