What do you think about longer shafts, longer cues?

I'm a tall player, so I play with a 60'' Viking , with a 31'' shaft . It feels very bad when I'm holding it from the but-end !
A standard 58'' cue or even a 57'' house cue feels great when I'm griping them from the butt end .
Why a 60 '' cue feels so strange when I'm holding it from there ? If I hold it from the wrap it's fine , but that doesn't help me at all . I think that the balance point should be further to the butt-end if you are not holding the cue from the wrap !
What do you think?
It's anyone here that likes longer cues and can play with them with the grip on the buttend ?
I also have a dominiak 60'' cue . It feels better , more solid hit , because it's 30''shaft and 30'' butt , but the problem with this cue is that the balance point it's not where it should be . When i hold it from the end it feels also very bad . Also because of the balance point it feels like a 18oz cue , but it has 20 oz . A 19 oz house cue feels heavier than this 20 oz Dominiak .

i have the same problem.....tall guy, thought a 60" stick was the way to go, but it just doesnt work for me. I think because of the way i hold my back hand almost on the edge of the butt, it lets my wrist work a certain way that im used to. When i move my hand up the cue more because its longer, its like the back of the cue is now diggin into my wrist, hard to explain but im back to standard cues for good.
