I am aware that he had some health problems. I have been away from pool for a while and was just wondering if he was ok. He was a super nice guy and had a good product. Anyone know what happened to him. I just looked him up and his last post here was 5/2007????

I'm afraid Richard Chan might have left us... I haven't heard anything from him in over 2 years now.

Richard was a beautiful person and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. If he did pass on I hope he is in a better place and his family is doing well.

Here's a link to his myspace:

Richard is fine

I see him once in a while at a mall around town. His cue business not so much...

In my Opinion, The XBreaker Brand had built up some value. I dont understand why he couldnt sell the name for something in at least 4 figures, cmon.

Wow, you are the first person I have heard say that they have even heard anything about him much less seen him.

That's great news!

Can you fill us in on anything else? What is he up to these days?

It's not my style to speak about things I know nothing of. I barely know the guy either that he spoke to me a few times and he would watch me play from time to time.

Back when he had his issues it was implied that he or his family had some health concerns etc. Others would disagree but I don't know this to be the case. He has been told many times by others to come here and come clean. He chooses not to. This is his preference.

Richard,
If your lurking around why not drop a note? People here like you and would enjoy to hear from you.

I ran into him a couple of weeks back but ever since I mentioned to him that he should consider stopping taking deposits for product he could not supply he does not speak to me anymore. His response was " oh those F****** people on AZ". I thought and still do that I did the right thing as at the time there were a lot of pissed off people on here that lost deposits and no one else knew where to find him. Anyway no loss to me.

Thanks guys, glad to hear hes doing ok.

I never met Richard but I always liked him.

I use an X Breaker (Samsara built) - it's amazing how many people recognize them. I had a guy trying to buy it this weekend. I now use it with the ash jump shaft he made too. The best jump cue is taking the long butt handle side from the x-breaker and matching it with his ash jump shaft with bowling ball ferrule - the thing is the easiest, most controllable jumper I've used.

I would also like to see him come back on AZ.

Chris
