Are these guys still with us?

IIRC, Jerry Brock has a room in North Carolina somewhere. I think Tony Annigoni told me this, about a year ago.

He's in Wisconsin but not Madison. I think he's near his hometown and I'll be dammed if I can remember where that is but I believe it's close to Racine.

Wow, for a second, I thought this thread was going to be about What ever happened to completing Subject Lines.

Sorry, Jude. The unfinished Subject line is a 'hook'.........
Often used on TV shows like Inside Edition, Big Brother 8, Hell's Kitchen, etc.

I would think the electric can opener works well on you, too.

(OR: the refrigerator door being opened, the tearing of cellophane, the pull tab on a beverage of your imagination, a kitchen drawer being opened, any china or silver ware being clinked, the pilot on a gas stove being lit, the click start of an electric stove, a knob on a stove top being turned, the light in the kitchen being turned on, footsteps headed toward the kitchen, wooden floor squeaks in adjoining rooms to the kitchen, schizophrenic voices talking about food, any voices talking about food, someone else just thinking about food.) :p

Nope, it's mostly the commercials, those damned TV commercials and the odors coming from 'somewhere'....

He was at Derby City this year also. Ask him to do his "Earl" imitation. Hilarious!

Buster is alive and well. He's a truck driver. He shoots with us on most Saturdays. I love that man. Lol

His hometown is Beloit, Wisconsin...but he's living in an even smaller town in southern Wisconsin called Lake Delavan....told me he very much likes the quiet, slow pace of living there.

Walt, I guess you don't read your own threads. You asked about Tommy in a thread, maybe a month ago, and I posted about him.

Well, if it THE Buster Merchant, that was famous here in the South, then Buster must be the best truck driving pool player in the country. There is something mystical and magnetic about a guy who drives a truck for a living and I was just wondering if Buster ever hops out of his 18 wheeler when in a new town and walks into a bar or pool room and makes his nut for the day then hops back in his sleeper only to move on down the road; maybe only to pass that way again only one other time in the next few years. I guess I just want to imagine it happening. Buster could play back when and I imagine he could beat most bangers in any bar.

It would be fun to know if he ever makes a score in a town only to not pass that way again for a few years. That would truly be the epitome of the anonymous road player. I would imagine that people would not remember him and he could make another score without anyone remembering who he is.

Jerry is in Jacksonville, NC. , making cues and running (or owning) part of an unbelievable poolroom.

Sorry about that misinformation. I saw him at a tourney there and assumed that was his spot. So what is the name of his poolroom? I go through Jacksonville from time to time...:)
