What Gold Crown is this?

I’ve been looking for a Gold Crown and recently contacted a dealer who said he had two Gold Crown IVs. He sent me the attached pictures but I don’t think it’s a IV. I just wanted to confirm with you guys before I let him know.

I also believe the GC III wood is stained “rosewood” while the GC IV is stained “mahogany.” Thanks everyone with their help.

I’ve lost faith in this dealer; whether he’s just ignorant or tried to pull a fast one. He also said he replaced the rubbers and put on new cloth; which I now don’t trust their quality of work if you don’t know what table you’re working on.

I wouldn't walk away just because the dealer doesn't know the differences between a 3 and 4. You can install yourself or have a different mechanic do the work.

Pockets look like they may not be original and the corner castings could fit on the rails better, but if the price is right and it's a Gold Crown, those things can be fixed by anyone with some competence.

100% that's a GC3.

Don't even have factory drop pockets, and what's there looks like they must nail in because they don't fit right in the corner pocket castings. $1,500-$2,000 tops, but before you buy, insist on looking at the bottoms of all 6 rails. You want to see the stapled area and the matching serial numbers, then you want to see the ends of the rails where the pocket castings bolt to the rails!

If they won't show you that, walk away, they don't even know those are GC3's.
