This was such bad luck, the one and only time I called this guy in my life he picked up the phone we spoke he instructed me to send him my cue for refinish and upgrade so I did so. Now its going on 2months and I can't get a letter of the alphabet from the guy since. I called left messages, sent emails, had friends of mine called left messages still no reply... I can be reached @

The end of march will be over 2 months.
I see about 5 weeks since it was mailed

I see it was mailed in South Amboy, do you shoot out of any bars there or On The Snap in Sayerville (Prime Time)

Hi Chuck,, I do live in South Amboy I play out of Ots aka Prime time..

Hi, I said its going on towards 2 months now since I've shipped my cue out to Trevor. The fact of the matter is I have not been able to reach him by phone or email and he has not gave me a confirmation call to say I have your cue and I'll Start the repairs when I get to it, or even gave me a turnaround time.
#Still no leads, any help would be golden and well appreciated....
 
I sent Trevor a cue for a refinish/upgrade about a year ago. Trevor did the work perfectly and shipped my cue back after a few weeks. I would give it some time.

***Edit. Now that I look through my old emails Trevor did email me when he got the cue and when he shipped it out. The turnaround time for the rewrap/replacement of the buttcap/and refinish was 13 days.

anyone that doesnt respond after receiving your cue to give a headup is a bad person to do business with. if this is the case with them then they should be put on watch and hold off mailing them cues or money.
too many cue makers running their business poorly to give them anything in advance unless they have a place of business where you can walk in and see the operation and a website and phone they answer in person. and i would add take credit cards.
 
maha nailed it....bad up front....even worse awaits you down the road.....been my xperience.
 
Non-communication makes me nervous: it's not a good sign. There has to be someone on this board who lives near there and could ride by to see if the place is boarded up.

I recently did some business with Trevor. No problems whatsoever, he responded to my emails, usually within 2 days. He did mention that he didn't have much (or any) help in the shop at the moment and may be behind a little. He has another business (non-cue related) and may be swamped. Not sure why you can't get a response, though.
 
Re CC... They've always responded quickly for me (within 24 hrs to emails/calls etc). Cue work flips 1 to 2 weeks depending on requests. 2 refinishes within 2 weeks... Finish touchup-couple of days. 2 joint insert replacements 1.5 weeks. No issues with service. Last month I think one of the guys in the shop was having some considerable health issues but they have worked thru this.

Yeah, they are busy with non pool related fab work (I'm sure at a lot better margin btw) but the custom cue market is pretty sporadic at times. Can't blame them for finding ways to make their business better for them and at the same time providing services to the pool world. They are lucky to have the space (and knowledge/ the business referrals) to expand imo... Good service/quality product as far as I'm concerned.

Last week I email them a question about a 3/8 joint (with a link to this thread included in the email), they responded within 24 hours to my email about the joint. Hopefully the OP will reply back here with a resolution/response.

Still yet to here from Carolina Custom Cues or get any leads.. for those of you saying I may be acting too soon, what you want me to wait until 1year before I try to get ahold of these guys for them to tell me: We did not received such cue??

These instances remind me of a marketing trick I came up with years ago. I was a small self employed contractor working in the field all day with my guys and doing estimates and answering calls at night till 10 pm or so. Well I had an answering machine and on the message was this little gem. I promised every caller that their call would be returned within 24 hours or they would receive a free bottle of Korbel Champagne! You have no idea how many folks were praying I would not call them back, but of course I did and never gave away one bottle. Naturally they all told their friends about my champagne hustle and word got out about my business in a good fun way! Companies that do not call their customers back promptly are not trustworthy or safe to do business with, IMO!

Carolina Cues ??? " when you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas"... I'm surprised they're still in business... about as incompetent and untrustworthy as you can get..... and I can verify it....

Yeah id call the police if its been that long without a response. Guess he doesnt realize hes ruining his future business.
I dont understand why alot of cuemakers ive tried to talk to or get any kind of simple answer dont care enough to respond at all. I can name off 4-5 makers that lost a few g's i had to spend because they wouldnt answer an email or a phone call. If u dont answer, u lose money period, and you get the rep for being bad to deal with. If communications bad, dont expect anything great to come in the future.

what is it with folks and calling the "cops". There is no "crime" here... it's a civil issue, not a criminal one. That's why they invented small claims courts ;)

Damn. How the might have fallen and CC is not a big cue. I remember them making a name of themselves on AZ. People praising them and cues were being built and bragged about on here.

I totally forgot about them till this thread popped up.

Sad to see they have become of this.

Please return the cue.
 
Last I heard they was making something for the military. I know a guy that was working there (don't know if he still does) I may see him Wednesday night an I'll ask if he knows anything
