What happened to InsidePool.tv streaming?

Hit and Run?

Yeah its what happens when ya leave your customers hangin for their ppv refunds:mad:

In the last stream, Alvin said he would probably be looking for other work.

They were driving all over the country streaming pool online for free. The advertising dollars were no longer paying for the costs and salaries -- not sure they ever did. The big problem seemed to be that the pool tournaments started to ask for money from insidepool to allow them to stream their tournaments. Alvin said SBE asked insidepool to pay to stream, and that seemed like the last straw. If they would have been able to get more than a few hundred viewers on their streams, maybe they could have demanded more advertising revenue, but I guess that wasn't the case.

Once again the million dollar glass of lemonade.

I grew up around horses and one thing was very apparent early on, you let them grow up a before you try and make them pull a load.
Hopefully someday, the folks with the deepest pockets, manufacturers, dealers, distributors, pool room owners, etc, The people with a vested financial interest in the game. The folks with true skin in the game. These are the people that need to take the much longer view that is needed to bring pool back to any sense of relevance. Until these parties see the opportunity (and I do believe there is one) in streaming live quality billiards, whatever the format nothing of any significance is going to happen We are going to continue to have just two types of streaming, those folks who are doing simply for the love of the game and those folks who think that are instantly going to immediately break even on their investment and make a living at it long term.
Pool room owners want the streamers to pay for the right to stream. Give me a break, see foot, shoot foot! Streamers wonder why people don't pay $45 for a stream (that may or may not work).
They are the kid with the lemonade for sale for a million dollars a glass. They know it expensive but figure all they have to sell is ONE!

Word is that Alvin is touring around Germany with a friend. He's been in Berlin. Might still be there.

Looks like a 'SMART' company (like an OB cues, Ozone billiards, etc) or a small conglomerate of say 4 or 5 companies could fund a 'streaming group' of guys across the country to do the ground work for the streaming and directly market to the captive audience enjoying the action... that way everyone is getting there needs met.

I'm wondering if Alvin is gunna try (with a 'new group' of investors) to stream a MAJOR Event sometime 'this Spring'(2015)...like in the North East somewhere? Got info?

thx R
